Now here is an interesting thread.By now we all know that anakin and dooku face off at the begining of ROTS and I want to discuss it with all of yall!!
I think its gonna be a killer duel plus it will be a turning point for anakin cuz(in my opinion)ani is gonna kill dooku and for that anakin is gonna want to be jedi master just like obi1 was in episode 1!!!so yeah discuss peeps!

yea since the rule is kill a sith get your master --- then im glad he gets pissed and kills all the jedi. no im kidding, but i think the duel will be a quick one, maybe shorter than the one of Maul and Qui Gonn in the desert. I think his rage will be so high, he just slaughters Dooku

This duel will be very interesting. By the one screenshot of it, it sort of looks as though this duel will have that ROTJ ring to it.

dont forget that at some point in this duel both Anakin and Obi-wan fight Dooku. In one of the web docs it shows Dooku Force pushing Obiwan. I think because of this the duel will be much longer than the desert battle between Ginn and Maul.

He does more than that he also cuts both of his arms off to make up for him cutting off anakin one arm.I think anakin is going to take all his anger like in clone wars cartoon and unleash it on count dooku during the lightsaber duel.

Sure. He's hacked off loads of limbs before. He's just doing his usual +1.

If these films are allowed the ratings they get when these guys are beheading each other, I think it getting a higher rating because someone loses two or three limbs is a bit stupid. It doesn't matter if it's one limb, or a thousand limbs.

You're still allowing a severred limb/head on screen - so what does it matter if you show it twice?

I have no problem with the arms and legs, but i just think it would be a little gruesome to see Dooku decapitated. Ok so Jango was decapitated, but it was execueted in a way that was.....well, less gruesome.

i can not wait to see dooku meet his demise , i think itd be sweet if anakin used two sabers kind of like what maximus did in gladiator swinging the two swords at one and scissoring the head off , gruesome yes but undeniably cool

If I had my arm cutoff and had to wait 20 years during a war I would would be a really pistoff and want to get revenge when things calm down I can see why he does it.

Regarding Ponda Baba, remember he is an alien. Perhaps his species tissue does not cauterise. Or perhaps Obi-Wan adjusted his sabre so it wouldn't cauterise the wound, thus maximising the impact on the cantina crowd.

Yes I agree this will probably be a good fight. Doesn't General Grievous get involved as well so it becomes him and Dooku vs Obi-Wan and Anakin? That sounds good.

All I know is that during the dooku anakin battle general grievious wounds obi-wan while they were fighting.

yea thats pretty shitty that Dooku and Grievious and hurt Ob1 but Anakin cant when he easily slays Dooku and obviously is stronger inthe force than both ob1 and grievious. and yes Ani is stronger than OB1 (refer to the bonus disc of OT dvd set)

yep remember hearing that he is stronger in the force than obi-wan.

Stronger in the Force and power than Obi-Wan, but Obi-Wan is more focused and is the best swordsman in the galaxy at the time.

nofate...you visit supershadow dont you? the only reason ob1 wins is experience, and he's thinking more clearly. He didnt look like too much of a better swordsman when Anakin was forcing his own lightsaber down at him. but thats the way GL wanted it so thats what we're stuck with.

Yeah I do visit Supershadow, I think he's arrogant and stuff but he seems to get things right.

Anakin won't look that powerful compared to Obi-Wan when he's falling into lava though now will he? Lol. The duel is pretty much even the whole time.

See, the way I look at it (and I don't wanna get on a big SS thing since this isn't a topic about it), he has posted up the ROTS script, and if the movie follows that, he's a reliable source. So far he was saying about a Yoda vs Sidious fight way before we even knew the title of Episode III, and blah blah blah.

As for Anakin vs Dooku, I doubt it will be considered a good fight, cause all the other ones are gonna surpass it by so much that it won't be considered that great.

That type of stuff bothers me, yeah. The only part of that that I might see happening is that Nebar Foxis might be the name of a Jedi that gets killed in Episode III, but who cares if he plays him or not. That gf "chick" is ugly anyway so he can have her if its true.

In response to that...I think it will be longer than that duel, but it won't be longer than the Obi-Wan/Anakin vs Dooku one. I think the two duels of that in Episode II (not counting Yoda's part) is about how long it'll be.

yea maybe youre right about the length of it. the desert was pretty short.

The desert was short, but that was one of the best fights in TPM.

I predict that Anakin Vs. Dooku in ROTS will be about the length of Obi-Wan vs. Darth Maul in TPM.

And the thing to remember also, it's not just Anakin vs. Dooku, Obi-Wan fights as well, but then get's injured or something. So we have to include Obi-Wan in this thing as well, which will add more length to the speculated time of "Anakin Vs. Dooku."

Is this confirmed? Yoda vs. palpatine. I saw him wiht a saber in the trailor but, is it really confirmed.

back to the duels, will there be small duels with greivous killing other jedi, or will obi wan be the only one who fights greivous?

Idk if its true or not but isn't Grievous somewhere in the Dooku duel? I thought it was Grievous vs Obi-Wan and Dooku vs Anakin...but then I've also heard Obi-Wan and Anakin vs Dooku...and Obi-Wan and Anakin vs Grievous, then Obi-Wan is injured, and Grievous flees, then theres Dooku vs Anakin....God knows.

I think Anakin will seek a confrontation with Duku, against Obi1's wishes, because he wants bloody vengence for the loss of his arm. As revenge is not a Jedi trait, this will be instrumental in his shift to the drak side. Ive got images of Anakin cutting off both of Duku's arms and leaving him for dead.

anakin and obi wan take on greivous and bodyguards. then they flee, dooku fights obi wan and anakin. somehting happens to obi wan (probably out cold by dookus force choke) then anakin and dooku fight.

any clearer?

Man...I hate how certain parts of Episode III are JUST like Episode II...AOTC is my favorite right now but we've got Anakin being bodyguard to someone in both, we have Obi-Wan Investigator in both, and we have Obi-Wan getting knocked out of play by Dooku, when he's obviously much more powerful than him. I hope he doesn't just get owned by a Force Push or something lame. If he has to be knocked out, I think it would be good if it was something like, Dooku throws something at Anakin and he ducks, so it hits Obi-Wan. A bit of foreshadowing for later events.

I just had a thought sense anakin cut off the heads of the tusken raiders I was wondering if this is why he continues and cuts off count dooku head in episode3 any thought on this.

i think it might be sort of like a "prize" thing. like the ear necklaces from Vietnam soldiers. or it might be a jedi training move...mace does it to Jango...you know theyre dead that way....obviously the cutting off of arms doesnt work...lol

You see Anakin fight Windu in the game and hes using a purple Sabre...

Now in Episode 3 who dies and has a purple sabre?? WINDU!

i dont think he'll use it though. it'd be kinda cool, but i think more people want to see him use a red lightsaber. Maybe he gets Dooku's during their fight and uses both to decapitate him.

ani follows
ob1 stays to finish grievous (but doesnt)

Obi-Wan will be in "part" of that fight. Then it's just Anakin and Dooku.

yea supposedly OB1 tells him to take dooku alive and then once he leaves to get GG, thats when palpy starts up and basically tells Ani to kill him.

they all three fight until general grievious shows up I heard with four lightsabers but not shure but do know anakin does fight dooku.

i honestly dont know how that happened. if ob1 could kill darth maul why the f couldnt he kill dooku. dooku wasnt very impressive in the way he faught, it was just a bunch of swings and lunges, nothing spectacular. i guess that they wanted the attention on yoda more or less.

Yeah, that's what I love about Christopher Lee. His voice is awesome. Definitely fits the role of a villian, and definitely alot better than Maul in my opinion.
