If you want to see the Thor movie.you can enter to http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/thormovie .because the Thor movie is not yet annonced that who can played the role as Thor in the Mighty Thor movie.

pr1983
marvel announced a thor movie if im not mistaken.

itll be 2006/2007 i think

ScarletSpider
FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAABIO!

Shadow_King
if they do its gonna be crap.

eleveninches
Not necesserally.

If they focus on the human side of thor when he was living as a mortal on earth, not sure of who he really was, it could be great.

Havoc470
jesus, people are criticizing something that isn't even in post-production lol

joesha28
I don't know if there is an actor who suit Thor's physique... maybe they go CGI.

K3VIL
Thor himself doesn't need CGI to take life on the screen
If u search on the internet for Vladimir Kulich, u will see that this guy is born to play Thor. He's 7feet tall, he's blond, and muscle. He played Buliwyf in the 13th Warrior with Antonio Banderas(who can be a perfect Tony Stark in an Iron Man movie). Also he's a great actor he has the attitude to make a great Thunder God on the screen. The CGI will be required for Mjolnir's magic effects and for Thor flying when he throw the hammer, and if the battles in the movie creates a lot of destruction(maybe if they put Thor VS Hulk would be great, or Thor VS another big guy from Marvel Universe).

pr1983
thor has to be done by an actor, maybe the one u mentioned though ive never seen him k3vil. cgi would ruin it big time.

Magee
lol that guy looks a bit to ugly wink

K3VIL
Magee he's a bit too ugly but he's Thor, put on him a big red cape, an helmet and Mjolnir, and u have the Thunder God!

Tron
Triple H!!!!laughing out loud

crazyspinz
they cant make a thor movie, like for comic fans im sure it will be great, but for everyone else it will suck

lightaxe
thats true i doubt anyone not into comic books would ever go to see it.

Havoc470
lol buliwyf is too old to play thor, him and a few other cast members from 13th Warrior can play some gods or any other characters though.....did anyone see the king arthur movie? the two enemies in the movie could play characters in a thor movie also

eleveninches
It would be a good movie if it centered around when thor was exiled to earth and isnt sure of whether he is a cripple or a thunder god, and he thinks he might be going insane.

FrothByte
i loved bulywif's voice. so deep and resonant. wish i had a voice like that. maybe they could fix him up a bit for thor. in the 13th warrior, he was made to look all rugged and mishap. but if they fixed him up, who knows, he might just be good looking enuf to play thor. triple h is a good choice too. just hope he has enuf acting prowess to play a lead role.

mc pee pants
*proceeds to slit wrists*

Asian Hulk
How abut Bill Paxton?mayhe could be Thor in the movie!!!

TheFilmProphet
I would rather have HHH than Paxton roll eyes (sarcastic)

Spawnie
Triple H has no neck, too muscle bound, too grotesque to play Thor. We need someone that can reach the back of his head.

TheFilmProphet
laughing out loud

Well I don't think HHH will be playing Thor because right now he is after the role of Conan.

Spawnie
Conan will suit him just fine, that he can definetly do.

TheFilmProphet
I hope so.

themightythor
Kevin Sorbo. Maybe Sean Connery as Odin though I doubt he'd play in such an underrated film.

Havoc470
i dont agree, keving sorbo did a good job in the hercules tv show but i think he'd be a horrible thor

HHH playing conan? he better at least have black hair, conan being a cimmerian is very important to his character...i dont consider him a good actor, so im sure he'd still have his damn california accent (although i think he's from new hamshire O_o) while playing conan which would definitely mess up the movie imo

whobdamandog
The fact that Triple H used to bang Chyna is an auto dysqualification for the role...how the hell can you play a man's man like Thor and bang a freaking dude...come on now people...

themightythor
Scarlet Spider mentioned Fabio, he has the physique and golden locks the only problem is his accent.

K3VIL
Kevin Sorbo isn't sufficiently big to pull out Thor, yes he was very good as Hercules in the tv series, but Thor in comic books is around 7feets tall, his shoulders are large, he's big.Maybe this guy would be the perfect Thor, look at him Thor

Havoc470
bullwyf? he's a good actor and he was perfect for the 13th warrior, but imo he has no business playing thor

i think they'd have to go with an unkown actor for thor, but i doubt thats gonna be done heheh, it'll probably be HHH or something and then suck badly

thor just seems like one of those attempted movie franchises that will always suck, not because of the character or the story, just because itll probably always get half-assed directors that spent their careers filming beastmaster episodes or HBO-porn lol

crazyspinz
i say that i play thor, im about 6 goot 8, blond hair, blue eyes, encredibly good looking, and im more built than any of those other guys u mentioned

pr1983
u serious crazyspinz?

crazyspinz
ya...

pr1983
your actually that height and build i mean...

crazyspinz
of course i am....

6'8 and massivly ripped yes

spotman
The perfect guy to play thor is a martial artist & actor by the name of Matthias Hues. He has been in movies like "I Come in Peace" with Dolph Lundgren, as well as "TC 2000" with "Mr. Tae Bo" Billy Blanks. He is one tall SOB, and he really knows how to kick ass. He also would make a really good OMEGA RED.

Sentry
Nathan Jones... The Colossus of Boggo Road was his wrestling name. He was recently in the movie Troy and is in Tony Jaa's new movie Tom Yum Goong. Tony Jaa is that dude from Ong Bak. Here's a picture of him:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v345/sifu1/nathan_troy.jpg

I heard he was growing his hair out specifically for a part as a superhero character. I don't know if it's for Thor, but he could probably pull it off. This guy is a monster. 6'9... 300 plus pounds.... Give or take an inch.

BobbyD
Triple H blows. He ruined the WWE because of his jealousy, and was terrible in Blade 3. He's a never-will-be.

actually the guy is around 6'11 maybe even slightly more......i think they should either take him or tyler mane...AKA. sabertooth....thor is basically like ajax from troy but blonde and cleaner and no beard..

redcaped
If we have Thor we should also have Hercules in this movie. Like Thor, Hercules is the son of Zeus and they both match. We cannot ignore that.

roughrider
Hercules can get his own movie; no need to crowd the spotlight from the Odinson!

redcaped
I have the 1966 cartoon episodes when they met and I think it's a great idea to have this connection.

roughrider
If they do the film and it's a hit, I would save a meeting with Hercules for the second film. You have to spend time making so much plausible about Thor, Asgard, and whatever the peril is - I don't think the screentime could be shared like that. But, in a sequel, it's like - this new peril, we need help. Let's call my old friend Hercules!

redcaped
Steve Reeves is my Hercules, hard to find another like him. Thor needs CG because Dr. Blake is a normal looking person and Thor is him but bigger. They cannot have two actors playing the same role. Same work is needed for Captain America who also transformed. roll eyes (sarcastic)

roughrider
Thor and Donald Blake do not have to look alike, just be sort of alike facially. Blake wasn't Thor shrunk down or anything. And anyway, Blake was discarded decades ago, who says he needs to be in it?

No CGI is needed if they cast Nathan Jones (see previous page)

redcaped
No way, that guy or any other can never be Thor. Is not the body or high but the face and combining them is a challenge. Blake became Thor and this is beyond our understanding, Odin knew this man would be his son. Yes, they are the same person, one man the other a god. I support CGI. I am talking about the clean shaven Thor. Does Hercules look like a man? I don't think so.

Arahan
http://www.upw.com/superstars/images/nathanjones.jpg

The thunder god? May be.

redcaped
Let's say Odin killed his son and sent his spirit to earth. This man Dr. Donald Blake became Thor, not the real one that once lived but a "reincarnation". He is the same man who recalls every moment of his life as a mortal and his god personality as time passed by. Have you ever read his first comic appearance? For that there is only one performance to play by an actor and that is the doctor. We must see the transformation when he hits the cane on the ground, not just a blinding flash light. Thor is a CGI character just like Hulk. Imagine Thor with no knowledge of the present, lost in the city.

roughrider
Yes, I have seen Thor's first appearence. Just because that's how it was done in the comic doesn't mean that's how it must be. Thor could be making his first return to Earth since hundreds of years ago, maybe he meets and befriends a couple named Donald Blake and Jane Foster, who show him how things have changed while he pursues some sort of menace.
Going from Blake-to-Thor in the past was a magic switch, not biological like The Hulk. It could be anybody. In Marvel 1602, Thor shares his form with a frail old man who carries around a magic 'stick'.

redcaped
You are smart and imaginative. In my opinion I would like the comic version because it is delightful how a man shares the conscience of a god, that is why the comic was entitled "Journey into Mystery". I was thinking about the music video Black in Black by Michael Jackson and I can picture the transformation. As you said it's not biological but in disguise, somehow like the guyver, Blake summons Thor but still the same person/mind. Loki can do that and much more. Also remember what he does, he swings the hammer, flies, and make thunderbolts, he's golden hair not dirty blond, among other things-hard for an actor.

Bushwacker
I'd love to see this movie get made. If it ever does, I hope they don't give us some average build guy and expect us to believe he's stronger than a regular human. I never watched Kevin Sorbo's portrayal of Hercules for that very reason.

redcaped
I think they are quite capable of creating CGI Thor. Hulk has a line in the movie. Just hire a german guy with a perfect english to play the Doc. We have this future with all of them, when sooner or later they unite, nobody should fail or quit showbiz. Why not accepting the support of CGI. And keep the music score from the 66 cartoon that bull horn like sound is great. Sorry I mention Captain America but in this case is the opposite-a CGI Steve Rogers, which is biological. We have this problem with the same person changing.

K3VIL
http://uashome.alaska.edu/~jndfg20/website/buliwyf.gif
http://www.poster.net/marvel/marvel-thor-leadership-2807122.jpg

roughrider
The CGI Hulk hardly had to act - he was a simple creature - and had only one line. CGI might be neccessary for someone like Hulk or Juggernaut ( we'll see about what X3 does), but my point about Nathan Jones is, it's not needed. When he steps out onto the screen early in Troy, I gasped, becuase I thought it WAS CGI; a human being coudn't be as big & muscled as that! I thought. But he's real. 6'10, 320 pounds, won a world's strongest man competition - he's who we need. I am not gonna limit my casting because he and Donald Blake have to look alike. To get the right Thor, I would punt Donald Blake outta here!

redcaped
K3VIL this one has better approach, same face. If they keep the comic costume will he look good in it? Thor's body looks better than anyone we all know.

redcaped
No visitors for quite long huh. It'll be good to see the movie start with the name Thor like shattered grey stone just like the hammer with words printed on it.

redcaped
CGI works for motions or bodies better than face, so I was thinking of having an actor just like the last one here playing both roles and give him the body&performance he needs as Thor. This is better than my previous idea. When he hits the cane we see a bright light around him and with the light comes the helmet/cape/etc.

roughrider
I hope they do this movie, rather than an Avengers movie. But they need to do enough to distinguish it in the public's mind, away from Superman. His films will deliver similar super feats; plus if New Line Cinema gets Shazam off the ground, it will be a crowded market for this kind of film.
I continue to say, get the best actor to fill this role, instead of CGI.

redcaped
Yes, an actor who looks exactly like him.

roughrider
They can't do a Kevin Sorbo Hercules thing here - fit but not built enough. Thor is BIG.

redcaped
Thor is a handsome man with that potent presence and his eyes of power, tall about 6'6" and his body is not of an elephant but very shapeful with muscles that fit his size. In other words, he is unique. Do not look into the new comics cause they're trash to me. Look better to the 70's. And his pal Hercules look for someone like Steve Reeves with the same size as Thor.

roughrider
When I was a young teenager, I followed wrestling. whistle ( I know, I know...) I thought I saw Thor when I looked at The Ultimate Warrior! But, he's likely past it now!

redcaped
hey what do you mean?! No one is like The Mighty Thor. Superman is 6'4" but in pure power.

redcaped
I have imagine how his movie should start and this is the end. Thor flies up from a spot of an edge roof with a tear on his eyes leaving the city below with all the buildings at sunset after listening to his father "this woman you have chosen..." Then following its sequel and his quest of reaching his goal and protecting the kind. By the way he swings the hammer using both hands, looking up-forward with the direction of the swing. C'mon guys, this is a mere thought.

redcaped
If you ever think I am manipulating ~you~ will get no where. If you are alive as a person I suggest you do whatever is in your power to make a petition of this movie. you you and you all. Go on and convince others like you if you want to see and understand more. Only 1 condition, it must be the same comic image of Thor or it'll never work.

redcaped
Don't ask why, just do it. I can feel it.

Yes, Thor got tired of Jane and got a blond girl for Odin to make her finally immortal like him and his powers. Very nice! And Shazam married the couple. He's good for something.

no homo, but he's sculpted like Thor and is roughly the same height.

roughrider
Maybe, but I like Nathan Jones better.

He's even bigger.

redcaped
No human or guy possesses the sculpt of Thor. Do not insist the futile. That's why we have CGI today to use what we don't possess.

redcaped
I do not want to insult the body builder guys, but Arnold had a perfect shape and he decided to increase that shape and still looked cool, others do not. If you are not a body builder by nature please do not try to increase the size that won't look as good. Fans believe wrongly that superheroes are body builders! They are fit according to their mighty powers not because the lift weights and their muscle volume is not huge but balanced. Superheroes don't look big but they are. The comics from today have very untalented artists illustrating our heroes the wrong way. In a way Thor is a symbol of body sculpt. Hope you understand. The truth must be revealed no matter how it is received.

venomslash
i havent herd anything yet about making a movie of thor. i know there making one with ghostrider and there gonna start soon making one of captain america.

redcaped
I also like Cap. Hope is like the comic version. He looks like Thor.

roughrider
Well - Thor is like an inflated version of Steve, including the hair.

redcaped
What happened to Steve was increase of shape not high like the hulk. Or Blake-Thor.

I like to be kind with you and just the opposite, knowing I cannot offer much but a small assistance. I am officially announcing my retreat from this thread of the movie of Thor. I only waste time&effort on convenient things even as gifts for you. In a way I never give myself 100% sorry for that. Sometimes dealing with a matter in excess is exhausting becoming poinless and a real waste of energy that could work as self destruction "if" that is what you want. Anyway, if you like my ideas I would be very pleased and if this movie becomes anyhow a failure to me by not following my instructions I will only lose $8.00 the day it is release. bye.

rider, i think the title of the movie should be THOR all capital. bye.

roughrider
You keep saying goodbye. When are you going to leave? shifty

K3VIL
I've saw a RAW episode where Triple H was holding a double handed hammer, and he looked very Thor-like, the man got the body to pull out a good Thunder God.

CaptainStoic
Tripple H is the best Thor IMO as well... Nathan Jones would be an amazing Juggernaut you know the guy from the movie Troy he played the big guy called Boagrias... that dude's the truth son!

vold
how about viggo mortensen if he buffed up a bit and dyed his hair

CaptainStoic
Viggo is a seasoned actor I'll give you that, but he's too small to be Thor, I mean he's just too short... Thor in the comics is 6'7" 700 lbs. Viggo wouldn't cut it.... maybe Hawkeye though, that may be a better part for him to play.

RUNMAN
If you want to sell Thor to the movie going audience, I suggest they pick Brad Pitt (Troy) and leave the rest to CGI...

Stallone is 5'7 yet he was able to play Judge Dredd. There are several film technologies/techniques which can manipulate/enhance the size of the actor portraying a role/character bigger than his frame.

Brad Pitt would really sell this movie to the viewers unfamiliar with The Mighty Thor. As for us, the comic fans, we get the chance to enjoy the film played by one of the better actors in the movie industry today.

Just imagine Brad Pitt crying as Thor ala Troy when he is banished by Odin... great stuff!

Face
Thors a barbarian and will probably look Swedish for someone playing the role he would need to be big built with blonde hair kind of like Shwarzenegger when he played Conan

redcaped
Well, not so much like Arnold but somehow close to that perfect shape.

redcaped
Loki is out of the question, but I think they should bring all the gods in a battle with Thor joining in like the comics. The Fire Demon or Pluto

redcaped
Got another Wizard...they're crazy about Thor's return to the comics but "nothing" about that movie we were discussing all this time!

Silverstein
someone mentioned Triple H...personally, i dont think he's a good actor. then again many wrestlers aren't very good at acting...

Wolverine2006
ya and Sting culd be Loki

redcaped
They are writing the movie without cast. I care a lot more for the classic costume. Wrestlers are the easy and wrong way.

MattDay
brad would be better playing captain america if anyone

Alfheim
I think alot of heathens would go and watch this. Yes I mean heathens some people still pray to Thor. Its just alot of stuff in the comic and in the movie will be far removed from Heathen lore, not sure if im gonna read another Thor comic again.

MattDay
his talking would get on my nerves, like an anoying religious junkie... i'd walk after another "thee shoult be smouted!"

Alfheim

That as well.....

grey fox
They get brad pitt to do the acting....and then get Rod Wilson to do the voice overs. Why ? Because he actualy SOUNDS like how you expect Thor to sound.

redcaped
The actor you mention is well known=bad idea.

MightyEInherjar
Dolph Lundgren (The "russian" in Rocky 4 for those who don't know)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dolph_Lundgren

He seems pretty obvious to me. He's tall, he's Swedish, he's buff, he's a seasoned actor.

MattDay
also he has been out of the lime light since he man and rocky 4 so he could make a comback with this

roughrider
Downside is he turns 49 this year, and will be in his 50's before the cameras start rolling for this. Thor has to look like a man in his late 20's to mid 30's.
Maybe Lundgren could play Odin, with the right makeup. He's even bigger than his son.

redcaped
A big wrestler to play Odin...perhaps Jones, but not as Thor. Making this movie would be the biggest challenge and a huge cast. Any ideas of what this movie will be about?

MattDay
the origin of thor more than not redcaped

redcaped
Are you kidding? The secret tomb, the cane, the transformation, the inscription on hammer made by Odin. The greatest adventure from Marvel, that's for sure! Let Hercules show up in the sequel.

Madacapa
The wrestler HHH should play the role of Thor if they are going to start shooting in 2007. He was in the movie Blade III, which was a bad movie by the way. HHH, don't know his real name, is not a great or even good actor, but the role of Thor does not require a method actor.

In Blade III HHH showed he could say his lines and show some emotion in them.

It would be mostly physical role, which is what he is really good at, and it would be loaded with special effects.

Also, if you watch the WWE, one of his gimmicks he using a hammer that he hides under the ring. I am sure that many people have told HHH that he would be perfect to play Thor.

Scoobless

Then those people are insane... most wrestlers are shockingly bad actors... HHH showed himself to be pretty crappy in Blade Trinity

If Marvel want the film to have any credibility then they will not cast a wrestler/bodybuilder as Thor... or for any of their other characters

roughrider
I don't know why Wiki keeps mentioning this actor - Rikki Lee Travolta - as connected to the film project.
Firstly, Marvel is looking at a 2009 release; what actor is going to be commited to a project three years away?
Second, this guy could play Donald Blake, and that's all.

I wonder if they are looking at putting a guy in a muscle suit, like Vinnie Jones did as Juggernaut. If it could be pulled off, we could have a much better actor playing Thor than a wrestler.

These days, I'm kinda liking Ultimate Thor's story, and how he discovered his godhood. We could skip Donald Blake completely, and instead focused on Thorlief Golmen, immigrant from Norway. smile

MattDay
triple H is he got his acting worked on by going to acting lessons could do it very well, he's 6' 4" so he's 2 inches off of the charaters said height... not too bad and he looks the part, especially as someone has done a mock up of him in the empire magazine as thor and he looks awesome... so who knows

Scoobless
If HHH gets the part I will not be going to see the film

no expression

redcaped
I'm not attracted by men but I think Thor should be handsome not just physics. Try your best and don't ruin the most powerful marvel superhero. Looks to me you all like wrestlers not superheroes!

Ethereal
how about topher grace?

redcaped
Thor still remains as a paper image Ethereal.

MattDay
you cannot get a guy to look like thor to his exact specification, he's 6'6 and over 300 pounds, knowones both them things, there either taller and not that much or over that weight, shorter and under or over... plus the only guys out there that come close, you guys blast without thinking it though, although HHH sucked in blade 3, if he was given good direction and top class acting lessons, he COULD do something within the constraints of thor the film... which could suck as its based around a god character... got one already, drones known as christian and so on follow the idea.

redcaped
I'm sure there are men just like the comic Thor but unfortunately they only take their people.

MattDay
only guys of that spec are power lifters my friend, they arent actors, they can hardly act normal as themselves lol, no pro body builder is to that spec, they are all too short

MattDay
so i dont know what u r referring too, but then again u said u can run 30 MPH and that made me laugh, so who knows what's going on in ur head

redcaped
I never lie...matt. They can do a research through major gym locations to require someone like that and there they will find him. Create a website "Thor Movie Completion" with the stats needed and images and make your selection after collecting enough candidates.

redcaped
Actually they will need 2 guys very similar...Thor - Hercules if they want a neat job done for the sequel. Wrestlers can play god-characters and many of them are older looking. Hear?!

roughrider
I could definitely see Gerald Butler in this role - coming off the recent Beowulf & Grendel, and the upcoming 300.
Not as big as most wrestlers, but still tall at 6"2 and he's quite well built. He looks quite a lot like Ultimate Thor with the right makeup & costume. And if they want to make him bigger with a muscle suit - maybe it could work.
He's the best pure ACTOR I can think of.

redcaped
This one can be in the movie but not as thor...6'6" no exceptions.

rotiart
I really have no idea why all of you folks are complaining SOOOOOO much about certain actors playing certain characters...

I abhorred the idea of Tobey Maquire being spiderman... but guess what... those 2 movies are probably some of the best recognized comic book movies ever.

Brandon Routh I thought was going to be a horrible Superman, having myself loved the Christopher Reeve Adaption, but you know what? I couldn't wait, and I love that movie, Brandon Routh came off great.

You guys act like looks are everything, but hte ability to act is worth so much more.

I'd much rather watch a movie with a character that acts the part well, then looks the part.

redcaped
Brandon is the perfect Superman in height and shape. Thor is more of a challenge because he shows in a more exposed way.

MattDay
has any got any news of a sequel to SR?

redcaped
It is the same cape.

MattDay
lol shut up red

SDragon
Have you guys saw Bobby Lashley on WWE. If they can find a guy with that kind of body that is white and has a bit of acting skulls or can at least show emotion then they could be on a winner.

redcaped
Thor will bring the best from Marvel. Just think about the Avengers and Asgard alone.

srankmissingnin
Jouko Ahola. When I watched Kingdom of Heaven I remember thinking "that guy would make a great Thor". I'm not sure how good of an actor he is... he died in the first twenty minutes of that movie but with the barbarian hair/beard he certainly looked the part.

http://us.movies1.yimg.com/movies.yahoo.com/images/hv/photo/movie_pix/twentieth_century_fox/kingdom_of_heaven/_group_photos/david_thewlis4.jpg

He is the guy standing in between Orlando Bloom and Liam Neeson

roughrider
I saw that movie, and thought the same thing - a potential Thor here.

redcaped
Still paper Thor.

Arashi13
I don't think Thor would be popular enough to create interest in a movie.

redcaped
I don't think they are capable of making this movie.

colossus_2000
I see this movie only working in one way. Make it a LOTR-King Arthur-Kingdom Of Heaven style 'epic' film, about the gods and their battles, Frost Giants, Trolls etc.

Still unsure on who to play Thor, but give the man the beard. And just remember that Thor isn't as big as some of the other gods.

James Woods as Loki!!!!!

Thor is heavily mentioned in much of pop culture for the last 50 years - movies, songs, record albums, novels (like Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy.) It's because of the comic series that his profile has been so raised, though many are not readily aware of this.
Conan got heavily into pop culture because of the comic series Marvel started, not because people everywhere started to pick up the old Robert E. Howard books again.
In any case, Marvel must be careful to take the right approach, to make this suceed.

redcaped
Thor cannot have beard...Hercules does.

MattDay
Thor is in mythology, most people (general public) don't know he is a comic book character, and if a movie of him was to come out, most people will see it as a heavily religious bounded movie, which would make most people nor bother, too much believe this, and faith that, and then he pulls out a hammer... okay?

roughrider
There are lots of characters in mythology - Stan Lee chose Thor because the Norse Gods were less visible at the time. People aren't just familiar with Thor because Thursday is named after him. The comic has raised his profile.

redcaped
Don't I know that? But you seem to ignore this is Marvel not mythology. For that our Thor must be the comic book character.

roughrider

Yes, to a large part. These days though, I'm liking the conception of his character from the Ultimate Universe, rather than the old Donald Blake idea.

redcaped
No beard, ultimate, or king. I won't see the movie unless classic version.

You can do Marvel and Mythology. Marvel have taken a lot, repeat A LOT, of liberties over the years with the character. Take what works, turn it into a movie. Simple.

redcaped
Original costume with 6 power conduct circles and hammer to direct storm lightning strikes, tornadoes, rain, magnetism (+and-) etc. I love when he tells Magneto "you don't impress me"

I've been hearing Matthew Vaughn is in talks to direct. Maybe working on STARDUST has given him confidence, after he backed out of X-MEN 3.
If STARDUST is a good fantasy movie, this could be a good hire by Marvel. They seem to be on track for that 2009 release date...

So long as it's not governor arnold.

Ultimate Hulk43
A movie based on Thor could be interesting but in this day in age the director would either have to go with a new design for Thor's costume or go with the Ultimate look. I just wonder how they'd set up the movie & who they'd cast as Thor. I'd hope that it wouldn't be someone who sounds corny but someone who can deliver their lines & really sound like Thor.

I personaly would love to see Ultimate Thor rather than classic Thor.I think Ultimate Thor was done so cleverly that it would be very interesting to base a Thor movie off of that version of the character. You could even blend it in with classic Thor further into the movie.

Start the film as if he is crazy.By about half way through his powers are questionable.Make all his feats explainable without him being a god.Finaly,by the end of the film totaly immerse the audience within the world as he see's it.

I think a lot of Thor fans would disagree with how I would go about making this movie, but personaly I would love to see it done in that kind of manner.Mix Pans Labrith with K-Pax and give it the Marvel U treatment and I think this movie would be a very clever film that could keep you guessing until the end.

When the movie is shown through the eyes of the rest of the world Thor seems like a very disturbed man.A dangerous man. When the film is shown through his eyes,he is seen as a heroe,a protector of the innocent.I could see a scene now.

A violent storm sweeps through New York city (or wherever you want to set it),over the screen you hear meteorologist claiming this could be the worst storm in years.Upon a roof top the loud thud of an old pair of boots splashes through rain puddles. The camera cuts to a cold, wet hand grasping an unknown object. The camera cuts once again, this time to a face masked by the night.Lightning flashes fast and the strangers face is illumanated briefley. His eyes are fixed upon something unknown. His hair is damp, mid length and a dark blonde. His face is grizzled with stubble. The camera cuts behind the man.We now see his clothing.Tattered wool sweater with matching pants. We see a huge object in his hand but it's still unclear as to what it is.He move foward and stands on the edge of the building looking down upon the city. The wind blows fiercely all around. The man looks up squinting his eyes, shouting in an unknown language. He then holds up the mysterious object.A hammer with unknown script on the edge of the handle.High above his head the object is lifted as he shouts intensely to the sky.Suddenly a bolt of lightning crashes down from the sky and strikes the hammer.Lightning is shown running through the mans body flowing through and illuminating his skeleton. He is sent through the sky and to his back, unconscience. All that is herd is the tapping of rain upon the roof for almost half a minute. All appears normal.............................

Then suddenly. The camera moves in closer, closer. All the way to the mans face and then his eyes burst open. The camera moves forward, moves fast and travels into the mans eyes.Nerves in his eyes are shown shaking with electricity. The camera then travels through his head and shows the electric coursing through each area of his brain. The camera then turns around and shoots back coming closer to his eyes. When it gets their a white light overcomes the screen. Then the mans vision comes back to him.A figure is shown looming over him.A deep voice speaks.

I'll stop now because I could write all night about how I invision a Thor movie but i'll stop.
