I got a new computer a couple of weeks ago and since then I've been having problems with it. When you press the power on all that happens is that the dell logo and the pentium logo appear, it doesn't load up windows or have the F2, F12 options at the top. The only way I'vew found to make it work is to turn the power off at the wall and then turn it and the computer back on again, then after it works that time the next time it doesn't again. I don't suppose anyone knows how to sort this out?

Actually, by fiddling around with the setup menu I may have fixed it/found the problem. I just need to test it to see that it works now

I love those problems that get fixed before you have to do something wink

SpikeSpiegel
It didn't work, but I found the problem. It's saying that the HD isn't there in the OS boot up

yerssot
solution: place the HD in the 'puter wink

Could be a number of things. A loose cable or a faulty harddrive.

Since its a Dell, I would get them to send a tech over.

The Ones
or go over to the tech
