Deathblow
The world needs a Willhaven thread.

Even though it took me about 3 years to actually get into them, I'd say that WH were the best hardcore band ever. Over the last month or so, they've completely taken over my musical world. Carpe Diem (best non Opeth/Tool album I've ever heard) is permanently in my CD changer, El Diablo is permanently in my car stereo, and my 50 track playlist currently includes 30 WH songs. No band has dominated me like that since Tool. It amazes me how they have single handedly taken hardcore onto another plane of existence, despite their fairly simple song structures, not one of their songs is similar in anyway. They blow every other band in the genre off the map. Grady Avenell should be the lead singer of every heavy metal band on earth. I won't even start on the time I saw them live, because this post is too long already.

I know of one other WH fan on KMC, but I've never heard anyone else mention them, so really I just want to recommend them. I can't praise them highly enough, please please PLEASE check them out. Download something, buy an album, whatever, just get them into your life somehow.

Alpha Centauri
I think Willhaven are one of the few true Hardcore Rock bands left, Cave-In being one of the others.

pity they broke up just over a year ago... the world needs Grady Avenell...Ghostride (the band the remaining members made) just dont cut it at all for me.

not 1 Hardcore band i know can even touch these guys... and all of my m8s are heavily into the Underground London Hardcore scene - so i mustve heard every hardcore song ever made by now haha!

I've seen my fat
Foreign film

all feature in my top songs ever made list and Willhaven are firmly planted at number 3 in my favourite ever bands.
one of the few regrets in my life is never having been able to see them live

EDIT: **** it, the Willhaven signature is coming back

Deathblow
Me neither, WH were a case of singer makes the band. No Grady no dice.

Labcoats
Stick Up Kid
Baseball Theory
Jaworski
Saga
Bats
Dolph Lundgren

are my favorites, Bats would certainly make it into my top 10 of all time. I wanted to make a WH sig, but there's so little about them on the net, even their official site is down.

and Df, I'm pretty sure Grady saw his fate, not fat stick out tongue

Df02
whatever stick out tongue simple typo and suddenly the songs lost all meaning sad

Deathblow
Could be another remixed version about Grady's chronic obesity yes

Yeah I feel kinda guilty, because when I saw them I wasn't really a fan. They were good and did enough to make me go out and buy their CD's, but I didn't think much of them up until a few months ago.

I still can't believe I had 2 Willhaven CD's in my house for over 3 years, and I've only just properly got into them. I'm such an idiot.

Df02
nah, first time i heard Carpe Diem i fell in love....then got the carpe diem album and loved it, then bought El Diablo and loved that even more

Grady is an amazing vocalist, and he is the reason the band is as great as it was, even tho the music is top quality aswell

Cinemaddiction
These guys are still around?

I saw them in 1997 when they opened for the Deftones at the Quest and they were horrid. Just noise.

Deathblow
No they split up. And the noise is what they're all about.

Willhaven rock

i love them to death and
i love you for likeing them.

tabby999
heard a few of their songs, didn't really do it for me. saw a article on them in Kerrang Aus, the pic had the singer in a muscle car with the others standing around pretending to cheer with smoke machine smoke under the car, trying to make it look like a burn out, but the wheels are sitting dead still, kinda made the wonder about them.....

Deathblow
Never seen that, or any picture like it. Doesn't change the fact that they kick an exceedingly large amount of ass.
