Guess the Director

In this game, provide clues about the movie like a scene, character or something like that. Don't get too specific with your clues. I decided not to have you guys guess the title too, for that would be way too easy. More of more a challenge this way. Here, I'll go first...

wow this is quite hard the only movies I can think of with deserts in them are 'The english patient' and 'Lawrence of arabia'. I dont know who the directors are to either of them though.

I'm pretty sure it's American Outlaws but I have no idea who the director is.

American Oulaws was directed by Les Mayfield.
