I've got loads of CDs and DVDs which don't work because they're pretty badly scratched so today I went out and wasted 14 quid and bought some "CD Repair kit" and it didn't work at all, then I hit upon the brain wave of using ordinary car polish to polish my discs and smooth out the scratches. Voila, now they all work perfectly. Just thought I'd let you all know in case you're ever in the same situation with your discs.
