He did "die" a few months ago...however, he wasn't able to get into Heaven yet and he came back...

Collussus. He would be a good replacement. He's tough and nearly indestructable, you know like the thing.

BTW, thing DID die a few episodes back. The FF had to go into the afterlife to save him
