I saw TPM 19 times at the movies...ATOC will double for me!

This is clearly a much more satisfying episode ...I'm struck with the romance with Anakin & Padme, it's extremely dynamic...

I have been reading on here about how Anakin's greatness isn't seeming to be fully revealed....but I would rather see the unbalanced state of his mind collapsing...it's such a thing to relate too....

I enjoy everyones post... smile

yerssot
going to see it atleast twice I think

(wich will be my altime hit: I saw TPM twice; ones in Canada and ones here)

Amidala
As many times as i can without my family having me commited. I saw the trailer on the big screen today, the digital looks amazing much better than the PC. you cant beat the big screen.

P.S. - Ice age was soooooooooo boring.

TeCk-IcE
I`ve seen TPM 6 times..........AOTC, I will se 12!

He-Man
1-5 times.

Would be great to see it in a digital cinema. I just think there aren't too much of those around here.

yerssot
even in MY country there is one!

Julie
What do you mean?...does that fact shock you or something?

He-Man
Well I don't know if there aren't any here, but I haven't ever heard there would be.

yerssot
it means that if it's even here, it HAS to be in other countries!

Julie
I see.......ok

ToMacco
Hey laos76, do you reolize you're singlehandingly putting Lucas' kids through college? rolling on floor laughing

laos76
nevermind..as long as I am in his galaxy .. smokin'

Bantha Fodder
Depends on how good AOTC is.

Before I go to see AOTC at the theater, I will be listening for feedback from others who've seen it. Then I'll decide how many times to see it based on the following criteria:

Quality of film/# of times to see it:

Worse than Howard the Duck: 0
Worse than TPM. 0
Same as TPM. 0
Better than TPM but worse than ROTJ. 0
Same as ROTJ: 1
Better than ROTJ, but worse than ANH or ESB: 1
Same as ANH: 5
Better than ANH and ESB: 5-10
Best Sci Fi movie ever: 10

Julie
Why don't you rely on your own opinion?.....you'd trust our opinion....that's flattering

yerssot
djee, put some trekkies in the theater and they'll tell you that it was a bad movie

ToMacco
Which once again proves my theory; "Star Trek is nerdy."

Julie
That would be horrible....never trust a trekkie wink

ToMacco
They try to turn you into a nerd. eek!

Julie
Are you talkin' to me?.........if so I am nerd proof wink

yerssot
Star Wars is for nerds too

Julie
eek! eek! say it aint so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yerssot
just like every sci-fi, yes

Julie
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

oh well I guess I shall resign myself to the fact then......

yerssot
everyone is a nerd in some way

ToMacco
Star Wars can BECOME nerdy. But normal people like Star Wars. Only hard core geeks like Star Trek (usually).

Julie
Oh I suppose
*point, yerssot*

yerssot
I like Star Trek yes, don't follow it,
it's entertaining but that's it

ToMacco
There's too much crap going on in Star Trek. Star Wars is just one story.

yerssot
also true, but I'm not that familiar with Star Trek to argue about it

Julie
I'll admit that Star Trek is ok, but I stand by the fact that Star Wars is way better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!

peluffo
Star Trek is OK... meanwhile we wait for real good SW stuff!!!!!!

Julie
huh?...you don't think Star Wars stuff now is good????

yerssot
not as good as a brandnew movie!

Julie
True.......53 days and counting big grin

yerssot
you already depressed me by saying that!

Bantha Fodder
Star Trek used to be great, but after Gene Roddenbarry died it turned into a "space soap opera". That's when I bailed.

BTW, it's impossible to trust my own opinion if I've never seen AOTCs! And after TPM, it's going to take something special to lure me into blowing $8 on AOTC.

Julie
Go to a day time movie...it'll only cost you $5.50 smile

yerssot
To, guess you were right, good job!

BF, take a wild guess about the function of trailers and teasers

He-Man
Well AOTC will propably have something special.

peluffo
BF: if you don't have your own opinion... what are you doing in a forum?????????? confused confused confused confused

Julie
*waits for Bf's answer*

yerssot
poodoo, we scared him...
Oh well... others will come

Julie
Whoa, down Yerssot!.....patience

yerssot
*sits again*
what? you want him to return? Mail him then; tiger winkbig grin

Julie
confused ya lost me again

yerssot
basicly: I'm sitting again

Julie
good boy wink big grin

yerssot
basicly I'm asking for a cookie now

Julie
What kind?...chocolate chip...sugar....oatmeal?

yerssot
a brownie!

Julie
a brownie is not a cookie...last time I checked...make up your mind!

yerssot
a brownie-cookie then stick out tongue

Julie
such a thing does not exist, but if you'd like a brownie and a cookie.......that's a different story!

yerssot
I like stories big grin

Julie
Once upon a time in a far away land.....there live a boy named Yerssot...

yerssot
did he had a son? was he married?

He-Man
Yerss she's talking about you. Shouldn't you know?

Julie
The boy couldn't decide whether he wanted a cookie or a brownie...

Bantha Fodder
LOL!

Well you see, at some point I will have to decide whether to see AOTC in the theater or not. If I haven't seen it yet, then I cannot have an opinion on the quality of the movie, can I? Sure, I can predict how much I will like AOTC based on trailers, rumors, and speculation, but I would much rather wait until someone I know sees it and then get the scoop. I trust a friend's judgment over anything I read on the internet (no offense).

I refuse to blindly go see AOTC like I did with TPM. Lucas is not going to burn me again. Sure I could gamble $6 on the movie, but I would rather spend $6 on a movie I KNOW is worth seeing, and by May there will be many.

Actually I'm quite surprised that so many of you are rushing to see AOTC before knowing if it's any good. Wasn't TPM enough? Lucas hasn't made a killer Star Wars movie since ESB, and he didn't even direct that one! Chances are good that AOTC is going to suck, and I'm playing it safe with my money.

peluffo
You really KNOW us???? I don't think so. And for that, thanks, but i need some more time and proof of value to call someone "friend". I respect too much this word.

I think YOU don't get it yet. WE LIKE TPM. Your opinion, even respected, is that: YOURS. and in this forum you will have enough proofs that we like it. Even more, as I've posted in other thread, that movie is crucial to comprehend the whole plot (Palpy rising power), and it's so well worked on TPM, that it DESERVES the "good movie" tag. Just for it. Hate JarJar , if you want, or miss AOTC on the theater. Do it, please. Cause you don't understand yet the movies.
If you want to save some bucks, ok, then watch your time online. I think (for this post and others) they are usseles and offensive.

peluffo
I think you don't deserves replies anymore

laos76
Star Trek vs Star Wars I don't undertsand. What's the point, they are totally differen't.....nothing to compare.maybe trekkies have been Jealous since Star Wars took the limelight away from them.

laos76
ah the Star Trek subject was dropped on the other page...
I failed to notice smile

yerssot
laos, I'll say it here...
The first idea of Star Wars was in 1975
The first Star Trek came in 1976...

BF, you made clear that you don't like TPM, don't care, but RESPECT our opinions!
No bashing, no nagging, if you can do it better make your own Star Wars movie!

(sorry, Pel, I can't help it!big grin)

peluffo
cool "NO PROBLEMO"

Ushgarak
Errr... Star Trek considerably pre-dates Star Wars, yerss... in idea as well.

I'm sorry, but to say that liking Trek makes you a nerd and liking Wars does not is just pure blindness.

yerssot
Well d'uh! If the first series came in 1976, they HAD to make preparation already in 1975, the idea had to came in from 1974 at least!

But I can't see why Trekkies and Forcies can't life togather in peace

He-Man
ST and SW shouldn't be compared...They're way too different.
B5 kicks Trek's ass though.

Ushgarak
Yerss, the original Star Trek was from the sixties.

yerssot
great... and to believe I got that info from a Trekke roll eyes (sarcastic)
djee! You can't trust anyone anymore these days

Ushgarak
He was probably talking about the first Star Trek FILM.

Gundark
I believe the series ran from 66 to 68 ?

yerssot
ah! the flick! why didn't you tell me this before!
