BlackC@t
I did! it was so sad! cry

Mr Zero
I nearly cried - when "Nice" arnie terminator gave the thumbs up from the molten metal - The puke that surged up the back of my throat made my eyes sting as I choked it back down.

Sad indeed.

Konjammenson
I do recall some slight emotional turmoil back when I was a youngen. It was more of a mister than an actual load of tears.

TheFilmProphet
Well I was very young so obviously it did emotionallly affect me to a certain extent. The last scene of the film made me look at it from the point of view of John's character so I felt sorry and sad. It also made me wish I had a Terminator of my own lol.

vvvrulz
Its the only time an action movie had such emotion.

TheFilmProphet
True, it was the time I felt the most sadness for a hero dying in a film.

alic88
ya the thumbs up will alwayz b a classic.. i cry every time.. in the t2:3d ride they show that THUMBS UP sign a lot.. it actually pretty amazing

TheFilmProphet
Yeah I don't think anyone will ever forget the thumbs up.

MornGlory
i am feeling end at this thread that keeps poping up ill

vvvrulz
?

TheFilmProphet
ditto

MornGlory
I meant to say -- I am feeling ILL that this thread keeps poping up -

ill

NEVERMIND!

alic88
err.k

~CirCledWOrlDs~
WELL... icried coz i luv Robert Patrick and he died.....WAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

TheFilmProphet
laughing out loud

BlackC@t
I didn't cry when he did the thumbs up, I cried long before that when John started crying.

TheFilmProphet
Same here

I'm crying right now just thinking about it weep

vvvrulz
Oh chin up you lot !

TheFilmProphet
laughing out loud

I'll try sad

alic88
LMAO.. well, umm the first time i watched it i questioned myself just like john said IS HE DEAD... so when arnie did say TERMINATED i thanked God tht the misery was over for john

TheFilmProphet
same here

vvvrulz
The TX's death was so lame compared to the T-1000.

A stupid chopper cut her in half, come on !

TheFilmProphet
laughing out loud

Konjammenson
Everytime I think about the end of T2 I start to bawl my eyes out. Not becuase of the way T2 ended, but because that means T3 is going to begin. sad

TheFilmProphet
weep

vvvrulz
Haha nicely put.

TheFilmProphet
yeah

Imperial_Samura
Hehehe. Although I must admit I got a bit misty eyed when I saw it, it was a powerful emotional climax. And I agree, the TX really didn't compare to the T-1000, why go from near indestructible to easily damaged in car accident/science equipment/helicopter accident...

alic88
coz john connor has2realize his fooooooookin destiny tht he DIDNT WANNA REALISE since the cradle

vvvrulz
'Realise his destiny'

How lame.

TheFilmProphet
yeah! mad

vvvrulz
Haha they're just advertising the release of T3 on television down here. The trailer brings back not-so-fond memories..

TheFilmProphet
Funny laughing out loud

Yet sad weep

Konjammenson
I own T3, though I have only watched it like once or twice. I walked across the room the other day that had HBO on and T3 was playing. My slight glimpse of the screen made me want to run back to DVDs and smash T3. What the f**k?

TheFilmProphet
laughing out loud

vvvrulz
Don't blame ya one bit.

alic88
ya i also tried watchin t3 on hbo but cudnt. just because.. well n o need2explain

TheFilmProphet
I have it on DVD, mostly because I'm an Arnie and Terminator fan.

I rather watch DVDs than watch it on cable, maybe its just me.

Konjammenson
Yea I have it because I have almost all of arnie's movies. I would also rather watch a DVD. The remote with all the buttons makes me feel in control......yea.....I like that

Dogbert
I didnt cry, but some tears began to well...

BlackC@t
Yeah Dogbert, I didn't really cry either but my eyes did well up.

TheFilmProphet
Same here

We think alike! evil face

vvvrulz
Say, do you have Preadator? Thats an awesome Arnie movie.

TheFilmProphet
Yeah I do, its funny to me everytime I see Arnie saying "ugly motherfu*ker" lol

You ever see the Arnie film, Pumping Iron?

vvvrulz
Nah mate, thats where its all about his body building story right?

TheFilmProphet
Yeah its a documentary, Lou Ferrigno (from the live action Hulk series) was also in the film.

vvvrulz
I'd have prefferred Lou to that miserable CGI excuse in the latest movie.

TheFilmProphet
Yeah me too.

I actually got to meet Lou last summer. big grin

vvvrulz
Haha really !
Is he as buff as he looks on screen?

TheFilmProphet
Yeah, not like his body building days, but certainly alot better than Arnie is doing these days. He is 54 years old and still looks like he is in late 30's or in his 40's. Very serious though, don't expect much laughter from him.

vvvrulz
Haha, seems the sort...

TheFilmProphet
It was funny though because he had a Polaroid camera and when someone was going to get a picture taken with him, he would just shove the camera into someone's arms and they would take the picture for him without exchanging not one word.

vvvrulz
Haha whoa, talk about authority.

TheFilmProphet
Yeah then he would smile for the picture and then be serious again and sit down and wait for more people to get their pictures taken.

You didn't even have to ask for the autograph either he would just sign one and hand it to you, then you gave him money lol.

vvvrulz
lol, All routine huh.

TheFilmProphet
Yeah like a real life Terminator lol.

vvvrulz
lol, say he'd make a pretty good one.

TheFilmProphet
Yeah he doesn't even have to act like a Terminator, its already natural for him. Now I know why they chose him to play the Hulk.

vvvrulz
He wudve been better than that CGI piece of crap.

TheFilmProphet
Yeah the CGI is so costly you can't even afford to have a character like the Hulk on screen for more than 5 minutes at a time. A human or animatronic Hulk would have been much cheaper and sufficient.

vvvrulz
And not big and plastic-looking.

TheFilmProphet
laughing out loud

Ahnold
Back on topic, the end of T2 certainly is up there with some of cinema's saddest moments ...

Red Superfly
Yeah, I think I was about 7 when I first saw that movie. It was VERY hard fighting back those tears!

I think the brilliant acting by Eddie Furlong made it even more troubling.

Ahnold
It's that damn thumbs up that gets me every time!

vvvrulz
Haha yeah, also that half-second where we look through the terminators eyes and we see its program zap into a small square and disappear...

TheFilmProphet
yeah weep

vvvrulz
It shouldve ended with that completely, that would've rocked.
(not cross over to John crying, we already saw that).

TheFilmProphet
True, but I still enjoyed the last part of it with the camera going through the road and Sarah saying some last words.

alic88
DUDE.. THE THEME ALSO PLAYED THE PART IN THE END..

TheFilmProphet
also true......

vvvrulz
Yeah there wasn't anything wrong with the road part.

TheFilmProphet
I thought it was classic.

vvvrulz
It really tied everything up so well.

TheFilmProphet
Yes it did.

But then T3 threw that all away.

vvvrulz
Every topic we talk about leads to how T3 destroyed that aspect.
laughing out loud

TheFilmProphet
laughing out loud

Red Superfly
I still try and watch T2 and TRY to wipe T3 from my mind. I want to go back to that happy place I was in when T3 didnt exist and all was good with Terminator.

The ending would mean so much more if that shitty T3 was never made.

I hope one day the Men In Black put those memory-wipe gizmos on the market so I can zap everyone with them and wipe away the bad T3 memories and leave them with T2 ending the saga. Then I'll use it on myself after convincing the President to hand over control to me.

TheFilmProphet
laughing out loud

Ahnold
How about this as a new year's resolution? Don't let every thread descend into T3 bashing stick out tongue ...

TheFilmProphet
I might fail that New Year's Resolution. wink

Ahnold
Try. For me. Please stick out tongue ?

TheFilmProphet
I'll try, but I don't know how long I can hold it in. stick out tongue

vvvrulz
laughing out loud

TheFilmProphet
stick out tongue

vvvrulz
And again !!

Konjammenson
That is perhaps the most difficult thing anyone could ever ask of me.

TheFilmProphet
I agree stick out tongue

Ahnold
Just forget it, eh? I know that such a resolution wouldn't hold for long anyway stick out tongue ...

TheFilmProphet
It would for the first 10 minutes of the new year. stick out tongue

MornGlory

TheFilmProphet
Merry Christmas! happy

vvvrulz
Thats the third one ive seen.

Ahnold
Still, they're all very festive smile .

TheFilmProphet
Christmas is over now though. sad

Ahnold
But it still is the festive season ...

TheFilmProphet
Yeah, there is still New Years! eek!
smokin'

vvvrulz
Somehow its all indifferent to me now..

TheFilmProphet
yeah

vvvrulz
Just another day.

TheFilmProphet
Christmas was just another day too. wink

vvvrulz
Oh yes, lol.

TheFilmProphet
New Years will probably be the same also

Konjammenson
New years is going to be a looonnnng night of boozing, then having to work in the morning (gargh) very very drunk. I probably wont even sleep at all.

TheFilmProphet
I'm sure we will all do a little of drinking and not sleeping that day. evil face smokin'

vvvrulz
I think im working both days...

vvvrulz
I think im working both days...

vvvrulz
I think im working both days...

Joker1237
did not cry at the end of T2, but was kind of sad to see the Robot die(If that can happen???? As it is not a living thing)

vvvrulz
How bout.. 'permanent malfunction'

TheFilmProphet
Well when any living organism ceases to live it can be considered to have died.

Considering the T-850 (Arnold) had it's endo-skeleton sorrounded by living tissue, blood, hair and all of these things are living then in a way I suppose that in theory it did die.

vvvrulz
Did the T-1000 die? laughing out loud

TheFilmProphet
nope stick out tongue

vvvrulz
There we go.

TheFilmProphet
yup cool

vvvrulz
Technically he shouldnt be allowed to time travel either, someone said.

TheFilmProphet
Yeah there have been so many dabates and theories about that.

You have any?

vvvrulz
I generally just ignore it and enjoy the movie, lol

TheFilmProphet
True, it honestly doesn't bother me one bit.

BlackC@t
What are you talking about!?

CGI Hulk rocked! so much buffer and how Hulk should be. It looked so real...

TheFilmProphet
Yeah, but they he could have looked just as realistic if not more had he been an animatronic Hulk.

vvvrulz
What, that big hunk of play dough?
Hell no.

TheFilmProphet
They did just fine with Mighty Joe Young and 1998 and he was a 15 foot tall animatronic robot.

vvvrulz
Hey yeah, nothing wrong with that.

TheFilmProphet
Not at all, I would use animatronics over CGI any day.

vvvrulz
CGI is only good if used wisely. These days they make a meal of it.

TheFilmProphet
Films are all about CGI these days, they might as well ALL be animated films.

vvvrulz
Haha yeah, its like playing with a new toy, really going overboard.

TheFilmProphet
They rely too much on it these days, I miss the days of the Predator, Aliens, etc.

vvvrulz
Yeah !!
Those movies hit the blend very nicely.

TheFilmProphet
Yeah, true classics just like in Terminator 1 with the stop motion technology.

vvvrulz
Only thats starting to slowly look a little old. stick out tongue

TheFilmProphet
yeah and a bit funny actually. stick out tongue

vvvrulz
Esp when it charges Reese who tries to close the door on it. Very fake, lol.

Looks like a demented chicken.

TheFilmProphet
laughing

vvvrulz
But T2 has no such worries.

TheFilmProphet
Not at all

Konjammenson
lol, i remember how awsome I thought that stop motion was back when the movie came out. I look at it now and wonder how in the hell it ever dropped my jaw in the first place.

TheFilmProphet
same here, laughing out loud

vvvrulz
Its amazing really.

Konjammenson
Gumby was amazing. "he can walk into any book, with his poney pal pokey too, if youve got a hear than Gumbys a part of youuuuuooouuuuu"

Mr Parker
I didnt cry but it was touching and gave me goosebumps.

TheFilmProphet
I agree, it was.
