No mattter what channel you put on, there's always an Anime show airing. I'm getting sick of this b/c all of the good shows are cancelled now (like X-Men Evolution, Batman Beyond, Static Shock, etc) due to this s***! Does anyone else agree?

WindDancer
Haven't paid close attention to Saturday morning cartoons. But in a way I'm glad Anime is taking over the WB and Fox kids. Their cartoons are lame as hell. I'd rather see more anime on Saturday morning than anything else. I'm a huge Batman fan and I hated Beyond and Static Shock. As for X-men Evolutions I'm also glad to hear is being cancelled. The early X-men cartoon of the 90's was way more cooler.

Joker1237
yes the early X-Men was great.

Glad to here Anime is taking over lol. Just upset the old Batman Cartoon in the early 90s was cancle too.

BlackHatDefect
No shit. After what I call teh Pokemon revolution, producers realized...anime is just much more effective in the area of getting attention. To most young kids, they haven't experianced such complexity in cartoons before,so its a pretty cool thing when they see something like YugiOh or Shamen King on.

WindDancer
Pokemon was the most succesful in developing a huge fanbase. Previously Transformers were one of the first animes morning shows.

JLred
Yup anime ROckS AND TAKE OUT most OF THE AMERICAN SHOWS

Jace_Rave
You have to remember that there are plenty of anime made for little kids and Saturday mornings. I'm kinda glad it's happening though, it introduces a whole new generation to anime. You gotta start somewhere. Us more "matured" and "veteraned" anime fans can go out and find what suits us more...so, don't hate saturday moring anime.

Dragonrider1227
Fox Box and Kids WB is pretty much becoming the Anime Network. Not so much with Cartoon Network (though they do show some) and I don't think Nickelodeon even DOES show Anime. It would bother me if so much of the american cartoons on Fox Box and Kids WB wern't so lame.

Robo-Chocobo
dude, the 80's was the best time for anime in saturday morning cartoons.

RoboTech, voltron, transformers...all sorts of cool stuff.

Joker1237
Ahh Voltron, that brings back memorys, Tobad the Power Rangers were big rip offs off of Voltron.

radioboy121
I do not catch up with Saturday cartoons, so no comment.

The early 90's, the 80's, or the 70's Spiderman and X-Men happy hour?

The 80's Wolverine had an Australian accent.

WindDancer
All those shows were introduced to morning cartoons due to the sucess of Mazinger Z which debuted in the 70's. If it wasn't for Gou Nagai's there probably wouldn't be any mecha Anime today.

Joker1237
IS Wolvie suppose to sound any other way?

radioboy121
Wolverine is Canadian. Although there is no truly defined voice for him, he's always been portayed as having a rough voice in later cartoons.

I'm not saying I dislike anime but I'm not jap or oriental, everyone's allowed to their own opinion's, but shows like X-men evolution or batman beyond weren't the best, But there are worst than them just because the shows anime doesn't mean it's the holy grail of all types of shows an should be allowed to take over American television. It's called American television for a reason, although I am a fan of anime I find find that the shows that run out long (cough.. cough dbz, yugioh, inyu yasha, pokemon cough cough and more) seem to die out after they reach past a certain episode where you can practically predict the next episode. But I also have to agree with the anime people life goes on things and shows eventually take over the other. If anime has taken over Saturday mourning television so be it. We can't change the facts shows and things change just as people change although the past is important we have to move on to the future and accept anime televised future. Sooner or later someone of some show will kill anime spot on Saturday mourning tv, nothing lasts forever, it's the circle of television we'll have to live with it. Also anime was one reason Saturday mourning television manage to live till the 80's, so don't go hating something because it's different or unique . Loving that 90's X-men.

WindDancer
I been watching the morning cartoons and it seems that Anime series are getting more and more attention. I don't follow the series but it seems to be that they becoming more popular nowadays. I was surprise to see that Pokemon is still running. You would think that the kids who rave so much would have move on to a more complicated anime shows. Nice to see Anime is kicking ass on Saturday morning tv. smile

Lana
Yeah, anime is getting is becoming more widespread on American TV, particularly with Saturday morning cartoons. Maybe if so many American cartoons made now didn't suck this wouldn't be the case.

In Japan, these are merely cartoons, nothing special. We like them because they're different then the normal cartoons we have come to see. I'm betting that our cartoons are a hit over there.

Blue Dragon
No, I love watching my Pokemon on a Saturday & Sunday morning (at 10.)

FullMetalLover1
ANIME RULES!!!!! Besides which would you rather see? Anime or Mucha Lucha Gigante?

Draco69
I liked the old days. Power Rangers and Spider-Man. Until Yi-Gi-Oh and the rest of his wide-eyed friends took them over.

It's PROPAGANDA people. Watch South Park! The Japanese are trying to hypnotize our children! stick out tongue

RogueGambitdare
I agree that they are taking over all the cartoons, but that's not a bad thing. I like it.

ANIME!!!!

Kento
blink Does it really matter. I like most of the Anime, and cartoons that come on now. Unless its a bad remake of an old one. *coughtransformersenergoncough*

But I'd rather watch Ninja Turtles then Shaman King though Shaman King is like my favorite anime on WB, Fox, or Cartoon Network.

Blue Dragon
Ninja Turtles! eek!

Mireille
NINGA TURTLES eek! donatello

For me i dont really take much notice of whats on in the morning on satuday i prefer to sleep in..............sleep

But there arn't that meny anime on tv at all most is on the big cheeze or cheeze tv unless you have anime network which is something you have to pay for... most stuff on tv is shows i cant be bothered watching or film clips on songs like rave or vidio hits.

TrAnCeDuO
...

uhh not sure if this has been asked before or not but if you all approve of this then why does everyone b*tch and moan about how badly their favorite anime is being ripped apart(i.e. one piece, mew mew power, etc.)

but other than that i don't really have anything to say other than that the people in charge of this are just airing what statistically best. they air it because its popular.

Celestialgirl
Welli'd say the best American cartoons played in the 90's, now all they play is boring cartoonsI don't think Anime is taking over TV it's just better than American and I personally would rather have Anime take over my tv.

Beelzebuu
I'd rather watch anime over any other new cartoons anyway. The only decent new cartoon that came on was canceled really fast. C'mon Invader Zim was genuis. Anyway, you wanna trace the root of all of this, go back in the day to the Fox Family channel when they had three full hours of anime on. But, those wore the good 'ol days of Monster Rancher and the first season of Digimon.

Red Superfly
My only problem is that the ideas are stupid, like Beyblade and all that crap, and they all looks the same. Theres always some idiot with stupid hair saving the day. Yawn.

Darth Mantis
Yep, they are taking over... *sigh*

Not really even through there are alot of those kind of shows.I doubt it if they are.Inleast I pray that they are not.JM smile

WindDancer
Not all Saturday Morning Anime series are suscesfull. There was Monster Ranch which was popular but faded away. Then there was fighting Foodons which was very cheesy but charming. Food dishes fighting each other was quite comical. laughing out loud

i hate how shaman king is pushed so far back on the saturday morning list!
nascar always goes over it!
now i have to wait til the reruns this summer!

((The_Anomaly))
I have to admit that anime taking over is not super good, but its not bad either. It just turnes out that these cartoons are more intresting and have better animation then the American cartoons, no naturally the better of the two will win.

Ciraric
I would prefer stuff like Trigun over pokemon.

I am more a manga fan though. Manga has everything you need. Anime is mostly children's cartoons. (mostly not always)

linkslittlehelp
well ive noticed that cartoon networks adult swim is bieng taken by anime too.but theres still alot of american ones. There in the process.
