New KV is up really early today....


As Obi-Wan Kenobi tracks down General Grievous on Utapau, he confronts the droid general and his IG 100 MagnaGuards on the Tenth Level of a massive sinkhole city. The environment and the combatants will be realized through miniature and digital effects -- on set, Ewan McGregor had to fight against members of the Stunt Department dressed in blue and green while off-set dialogue reader Duncan Young provided Grievous' snarling dialogue.

Hmm... from what I hear it's just some greenscreen.

all green screen and a couple of dudes in all blue and green... to be GGI later... I have a bad feeling about this fight

WHY ?

portions of the Ob1/Jango fight were blue/greescreen. The entire arena battle was, as well. I think it will be fine.

It looked like it would be quite good from the glimpses in the Back in Black footage.
The Set Diaries suggest Obi is getting his ass kicked for much of the fight.

The Magnaguards have no independent personalities - they fight as a unit, like different parts of the same being.
I can't imagine the finished fight will be bad, but this KV sounds like a pointless exercise...

Wishful thinking to suggest the KV may hint at the Webdoc content, I presume?

I suppose finished GG shots are out of the question, seeing as how he has already had one webdoc devoted to him.

I have never been the biggest fan of these KVs, but next to the 'outside the fox studios in sydney' this is THE worst yet. Why bother?

I agree completely bilbo. Why even put something like this out? we have all seen the webdoc footage of this scene, no need for a KV of nothing but green screen.

I do hope you're right Scramba; bring on the Webdoc!
