I am applying to a Mathematics and Science school. Part of the application is work samples.

The 1st must be a work sample that pertains to either Math or Science.
(I already have this one: I mated Fruit Flies to depict Mendel's Law of Independent Assortment.)

The 2nd must be anything else that hasn't already been graded.

I have the 1st work sample figured out, but the second one I am currently working on.

I was thinking for my 2nd that I would write an essay in the form of diary entries depicting either Marie Antoinette's or Anne Boleyn's last days.

Ok, so what do you think? Does it sound boring? Has it been done a lot? Do you think it will grab a judge's attention? confused Should I go with Marie Antoinette or Anne Boleyn?

I would REALLY appreciate any advice or comments you have. Thank you all very much. smile

Let them eat cake.

Sounds interesting, and I have never seen it done (for those two at least, but then I am in Australia.)

laughing ...I should really consider that.

silver_tears
what do either of those ladies have to do with math or science?

theReject
Nothing but the second work sample doesn't have to be about math or science.

Math sucks

theReject
Yes, but I like Science. You don't really have to like either to go to the school though. They have excellent English classes and other classes.

Anybody else have any thoughts?
