See him find the battles he'd seek,

Watch the Lady cry out in pain,
Watch her hold back and refrain,
Watch her wait again and again,
Watching for him in freezing rain.

Fearing the day he will not return,
Fearing his flag on the field will burn,
Fearing he will lose the loving yearn,
Fearing all she'll have is his urn.

He knows she needs not fear his life,
He knows he pledged long ago to his wife,
He know her turmoil and her strife,
He know he'll return to his fife.

She'll be waiting out in the rain,
She'll be standing in the snow again,
She'll never become too plain,
She'll be all he desires, no different, the same.

Yeah, I agree, I think your poem has a very strong sense of rhythm and unity.... I use that structure in my work quite a lot Well written.

danke. i try to do a little of all types of poems, this one just flows together in my head well enough to use this style.

It's a comfortable style isn't it? I find myself at ease when using repetition, I can concentrate more closely on my vocabulary that way
