Does anyone know, or has anyone read, as to weither or not the DVD version of "Sky Captain" will have the subtitles as seen in the film? Naturally, it comes with "removable" subtitles, and the aged subtitles from the movie add to its appeal, but it would be nice to view the movie with them off.
If anyone can direct me to a DVD review that touches on this, please LMK.

the movie had subtitles? why?
Cinemaddiction
It was subtitled with this aged font, because that's the way the films were produced in the 30's. I know, it's stupid, especially for an English language movie. They just wanted to get the entire serial "feel". I 'm hoping I don't have to watch the movie without them.

Why would you want to watch an English DVD with English subtitles?
Cinemaddiction
I don't, that's why I was hoping they weren't on there, and thankfully they aren't. Okie dokie, this was my question, and I answered it, lol.
Closing.
