I love the xmen films but i dont know what a gambit is!

I have wathced them over and over but he is not mentioned!

gambit:

1.An opening in chess in which a minor piece, or pieces, usually a pawn, is offered in exchange for a favorable position.

2. A maneuver, stratagem, or ploy, especially one used at an initial stage.

3. A remark intended to open a conversation.


but in Xmen, he's the mutant that uses carddecks and throws them ... don't really know what they do exactly though

he's seen briefly somewhere at a gambling table I believe

Well the X-Men movies are not the only source for X-Men he didn't show up in the movies yet (how should he rogue is some stupid brat in them)
But he is on the same coolness level as Wolverine and the girls love him. Am I right or what?

originally he is a pair of rogue, his powers are, as said earlier blowing up stuff, usually cards, but it can be anything, and doing some charm with his eyes...


and the name was taken from chess orginally.
i even read part of chess 'how-to' to lear what was a gambit

Okay Gambit is a very cool X men character, who is cajun, who has a staff, and a leather jacket.

His mutant ability is he can blow any thing up by thouvching it to his choosing, Gambit like throwing cards. look it up on marvel.com, I MEAN c'mon

actually he charges objects (usually small things like cards for ease of use) with kinetic energy.
when/if he ever is omega then he could charge objects jus by lookin at them.
he also has a great agililty and is quite a romantic

he can fly and charge up stuff no matter if it's organic or not.

Plus he has the ability to pimp any woman in any situation.

Gambit can't fly he can leap long distances cause he is an advanced human but can't fly or levitate.

Also, i don't remember where i read/saw this thing where Gambit somehow gets thrown/teleported can;t remember, to Antarctica and it's snowing as hell and he puts his hands inside his trenchcoat (that he has at all times) and buttons it up and says something like "I knew one day this trenchcoat would come in handy"
Course, he prolly meant for something OTHER than holding "52 small bombs in one single pocket" as he puts it
