for the uninformed, the london calling legacy edition has 3 disks; the original album, the unreleased vanilla tapes, and a DVD.


i'm not sure if i want to get the legacy edition...i am a HUGE clash fan, and obviously have london calling.

from what i've heard, the vanilla tapes are still poor quality and basically as good as the bootlegged ones, and the DVD is decent but getting westway to the world would be better....but still, it's the clashdroolio and i love them. so i still want it.

but my question is, does anyone have the legacy edition? is it really worth it?

My dad has London Calling 25th Anniversary Edition, not sure if thats the same thing but it does have everything you mentioned so I guess it must be. I'm not huge on The Clash but from what I've seen/heard, and judging from my old man's reactions, it's worth it if you're a real diehard fan. Plus from any view, the quality is real crisp, I've never heard their music sound so clean.

Oh yeah, and the old studio footage on the DVD is awesome.

Definately gonna get a hold of it at some point.
