what x-men could make it on the JLA and still be an asset to the team??? I'd say storm and bishop and phoenix- who and what do you guys think??

yeah kinda- I think storm could do it

phoenix (obviously), iceman, storm... thats pretty much it...

though i think phoenix is the only one who could do it easily...

Yep, Pheonix for sure, Storm is a go, maybe Rogue, Xavier, Magneto, uh...

rogue is a no no... shes a weaker wonder woman... her absorbing wouldnt be enough to get her in imo...

the jla would be looking for variety... thats what gives storm her best chance...

its the reason the likes of colossus and cyclops wouldnt be wanted, they have superman and batman...

I think that wolverine might be good

pr is right- but they don't have a telekinetic so phoeinx would be good, and they don't have an elemental so storm and iceman would be good imo

other than the 3...

wolverine is absolutley no use to them...

he can fight...

yeah wolverine is kinda bad now that you think about it- I take that statement back- I think the most three eligable are storm-phoenix, and iceman- how bout magma, shes reallt powerful and the JLA doesn't have anyone like her except tarra

here's terra's powers-Terra had control over the Earth and often flew on a chunk of rock to reach her destination. Terra could transform the consistency of earth and rock, cause earthquakes, tap into lava flows, and create shapes out of solid rock.

and magma had worked w/ the x-treme x-men for a few missions

I'm afraid I don't know enough about all this to have an opinion.

phoenix is practically a god... i doubt she'd join... i dont think they want any planets destroyed...

Nate Grey--pure power. They have a telepath with MM, but not at this power, where Nate can rip images from people's heads and make telekinetic images of them.

I agree with Iceman, Magma and Storm, elemental powers which the JLA are somewhat lacking in.

Colossus, I think, may actually have a shot. Sometimes, you just need a strongman, the warrior-artist, and one hell of a handy-man in tough situations. They've let other less powerful people on the team. Green Arrow is just a Batman with arrows. Hawkman and Hawkgirl just fly.

Probably Forge too, his technomagery would come in hella handy.

as back up maybe, but they dont need him with supes, ww and gl on the team imo...

and without the ring she's be strong, but the ring would be a huge asset to her...

THe only ones I think would make it into the JLA are:
Cable
Nate
Jean or Rachel (with FULL pheonix force)
Joseph/Magneto
Xorn
Forge

and maybe:
Magik
Rogue
Gambit (at same level as New Son).

I dont think JLA needs any more telepaths, so xavier would be useless.

They already have steel, who is a kind of colossus look-alike

i think ice-man would fit in well.....they dun have an elemental i dun think....so he would be kool....and he's fun

i think phoenix and nate are too powerful to join.....

I dont see why the JLA would have any need for any elemental controlling charachters.

pure variety... a fresh approach...

But Steel is more of a weak Iron Man ripoff.

As for Colossus, I wouldn't put him on the JLA team. Not on the "big 7" with Supes, WW, Batman, etc.

But on a team like Green Arrow, Hawkman, Black Canary, Flash, Green Lantern and Elongated man, they're missing some serious muscle. That's what he'd be good for. And he's solid steel. Once in awhile something will be able to affect Supes or WW's biological aspects, but it can't hurt steel.

I could see Wolverine on a black ops team, like JL Elite or something. Though with his age, he might actually fit in better at the JSA.

As for having elementals, some of the members will be vulnerable to temperature and elemental extremes. Someone made of ice, or magma, won't be affected, and can operate freely, as well control said elements. It's just a new power aspect that they're somewhat lacking in.

Cable could be in the JLA...what if Batman was in the Xmen..I know his not a mutant...but he can fight, is smart and has those "wonderful toys".

i can't see batan liking to be on the x-men- imo the only x-men they need are storm, phoenix, iceman, and magma. they are all really strong.

I think some people are thinking of this all wrong. It's not necessarily who's powerful enough to be in the JLA, but who's useful enough and can work with that team without having problems with other members. Like Wolverine, he wouldn't fit with them because of his tendency to kill every villian around. He would eventually bump heads with Superman and Batman, especially Batman. Now, a better team for him would be Justice League Elite or the Outsiders. Storm would be good addition, but unlike someone mentioned, she is NOT replacing Green Lantern. Forge, Jean, and others that have been mentioned would work well for the team too.

in the context that she would be worthy to take the ring... thats all...

I don't think she would be, there are already a few GL's in the league, and she's already powerful enough.

I think, though he was an X-man very shortly, Sunfire (or his sister Sunpyre) would be a good addition. Sure, they have Firestorm the Atomic Man, but he's not always available. Next time some madman launches nukes, or causes a radioactive plant to blow up, you could have someone their who's immune to radiation, and I think he can absorb and metabolize it.

i meant if marvel earth needed a new gl... there are better candidates though...

They already have a couple, Dr. Spectrum and Quasar, but I digress, it would be interesting to see which Marvel characters could handle the GL ring. I posted a thread awhile ago in the general Comic Book Movie discussion area, "what if the two companies had merged early on" so we have all of our favorite characters and storylines from DC and Marvel combined. Now how would they affect one another. What Marvellites would be on the JLA? Would Superman have heard Rick Jones' Ham radio broadcast and arrived to help found the Avengers? etc.

Well that's what it's been made into recently. Though there have been various make-ups to the team. I wouldn't consider Green Arrow or Hawkman some of the best of the best, but they certainly contribute a lot. That's why I can't wait for Busiek to really get into his JLA run, he's said in interviews that he likes a big League, and I always like his character selections, renewing interest in old characters, making them fit into new situations and genuinly writing good stuff with characters who don't get enough spotlight. His treatment of Firebird during the Kang War storyline in Avengers made me genuinly like the character and want to see more of her.

Cable could make it...like He-man...he has the pooooooower!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well depending upon what power level. He's back to basic cyborg-merc level now. But X-Man could do it.

Cable anit a mutant Jesus no mo.....that sucks...but he still rocks and Xman...god rest his soul..could've made the JLA....if he was alive.

the jla needs someone who can cooperate on a team very good and canbe useful to everyone. storm can do that and she has great leadership. she is an above average fighter and has numerous ways of taking down any opponent. she can fly, shoot lightning, throw people or pin them to the ground, she can create mist as a great cover and can freeze people and things in a matter of seconds. she would be a huge asset th this team imo.

that would depend on her role in the team imo...

nobody, only someone more powerful than themselves... there arent many enemies they can't beat with their current roster...

I think hers is wonder woman- both once worshiped as goddesses, both beautiful, and both have amazing powers and both are really powerful

Batman's their main thinker but he's only a detective, and they sometimes have Steel who's a good mechanic but I reckon Beast would be worth their while as he's such a good scientist and handy in a fight to.
