Cooties
Why do big name comic comp always make antiheros. Punisher, Spawn Hellboy and even blade apply to this. Antiheros are so retro. They usally have a bad past, are loners and are dead broke .Although they help heros from time to time they are to selfish to even get a little help when they need it the most. What's the point. U are either good or bad. It is not a hard decision mad Antiheros are boring and just ruin the balance betwween good and evil. mad

Hey, antiheroes are cool. I think they are more human characters than just the black and white cardboard cutout surrender completly to heroic ideal or ultimate evil... how many people do you know who are like THAT? Most people would probably rather not be put into those situations and it is more realistic when the characters act that way.

ScarletSpider
Anti-heroes are sweet beans. They toe the grey area and are more realistic. Punisher, while helping people, is a ruthless mass murderer. Namor, though he's saved the world many times, is an arrogant bastard who hates the surface world and continually threatens war. Deadpool and Taskmaster are sometimes good examples, they do what's right, but it involves lots of guns, knives and selfish reasoning (large pay checks).

Who can say if there is any true good or evil? Captain America and Superman, stalwart icons of right and notorious dogooders, have gone over the edge a time or two. And even the basest of villians have shown compassion at times. There's a large gradation scale, some are closer to the middle than others, but none are all the way to one side.

The thread starter just doesn't understand how cool and vital Antiheroes are...

antihero's are more interesting! coz they are more like us than say superman or captain America, who have no gray areas. Also they show what a real life hero is all about!

Faust, Love of the Damned.

If your old enough to read it.

The world does not exist in black and white; get over it. Some of the great characters of literature are anti-heroes; Macbeth springs to mind. Or Elric, if classical literature bores you.

both superman and cap have grey areas, you just don't see them as often as the others...

Mainstream
Batman...is he an antihero...Cap isn't he works for the government.

Napalm
