I'm not sure if I should enter this into a poetry contest, but here it is...

...My One aNd onLY Pr1nc3ss...

You came into my life, and
I've felt nothing greater,
Than just gazing at your eyes.
Each day I can't take my mind of you,
That you had changed my life, and
That I've found a purpose in life.
What is more for me to achieve,
Other than just feel the love that I'm experiencing?
It is you, that I love, for eternity...

My life became misarable,
When I departed,
Just to know that what depression is really like.
You alone is my light,
My angel, my rose and my life.
Nothing can please me more,
Than just thinking of you,
Every night...

i cant be what you want
so i will call it quits today
no more trying to hold on
it has to be this way

i am a disappointment
and i cant do it anymore
i will let it all go
as the tears start to pour

i am crying right now
as i don't want to say goodbye
but i have let you all down
for that i just want to die

i will call it quits today
on more poems from me
i will go into the dark
and think about the person i am suppose to be

i don't think anyone understands
i have a lot to confess
i haven't done what a lot of people think
but in reality i have done a lot less

people make me look like i am worse
then what i really am
no one cares what i say
so i will become the sacrificial lamb

i cant hurt you all anymore
so i will take away your pain
i am the one who kills you all
the reason for all your shame

i will cut the life away
i am sorry to you all
but i feel that isn't enough
now i will cut and start my never ending fall

goodbye and i love you
i am sorry i wasn't stronger
but your life full of pain and shame
i could stand no longer

here you go i am the reason that you feel
i yet out the last scream for forgiveness
and i hope you all find your heaven
for me now i must end my nothingness

Flicker

Have you ever watched a candle flicker?
Its flame dancing in the night.
Standing on the border between darkness
One sole beacon of light.

Do you think it would be good to be that candle?
The simplicity of existance it would bring,
No ears to hear, no eyes to see,
No hands to touch, no mouth to sing.

But those are not bad things, are they?
A candle has but one purpose, one aim.
The mind would be free, to love and think,
While dancing in that flame.

When you rate them, you have to explain why you pick his poetry...

I liked it, especially the structure. The ... at the end of each stanza really highlights the never-ending theme.

I do, however, shy away from writing personal poetry. Not personal as such, but personal experiences, because not every has experienced the same as me, and so find it hard to relate to the theme of the poem.
