Alright, so this is a temporary thread to get the KMC World of Warcraft guild underway.

We need to decide faction first of all, I'd personally love to do horde this time around, since I've mostly don't alliance during my playtime.

Also, it might be a good idea to try and have a solid group formation (I.E. Someone may want to play a warrior for tanking, priest for healing, Mage for damage and so forth) so we can do instances together with some ease.

Oh, and it seems Archimonde is the server we'll be playing on. Seems to be agreed upon by everyone.

Anywho, post your thoughts here about this, what class you'd prefer to play and so on.

Oh, so yeah, I'd personally like to play a shaman, but if need be I have no problem playing a priest if it helps out the group a bit more.

I'd rock a priest, but some people gotta bear with my nubness.

lol, it won't be a problem. You just stand there and watch peoples health bar, then throw a heal on them when they get kinda low.

It only gets to be hectic when you're in a shitty group that pulls like 7 monsters at once, and you have to spam heals on everyone as fast as you can. But that won't be a problem with this group.

Have any clue what leveling up is like as a priest?

I can't imagine its like the fighting classes.

One of my alts is a priest, lvl 24.

Leveling is actually pretty good as a priest, they have some solid offensive spells, and with the right talent build they almost never have to rest after a fight. plus, they can heal themselves after a fight if they take punishment.

They're a cool class. Solo fights can be pretty redundant though. Just do the same three spells at the beginning of the fight, then smack the mob with your staff untill they die, healing yourself when need be.

Aside from the maraka that he starts with...the undead priest looks pretty dope. Kinda like Cher if she stuck a fork in a light socket

I'm at level 6 right now, I didn't get to play much after 5pm and I kept dying because I forgot to get Smite lvl 2, so I didn't have enough offense to take out a lvl 8 vampire bat.

You do, mindblast you learn at lvl 10, the main priest offensive ability for the rest of the game.

At least it isn't just the 10 levels of fireball

Almost everything my character is wearing right now I've built myself using Leatherworking...

And yesterday I saw a group of like 20 alliance coming north towards the barrens and I was running right at them...thank god for aspect of the cheetah...because even though they were all like lvl 60....they were still gunning for me.

A 60 Paladin chased me around because his level 21 Druid friend attacked me and I toasted him. Apparently the Pally was 'escorting' him, and, when I killed the Druid, I became his target. Aaack, it was so retarded--I was almost into the Barrens when he killed me (was in Ashenvale).

I'll send you whatever tailoring stuff I can find.

So yesterday I'm running back to the Barrens from Ashenvale while I'm watching the Simpsons...and I stopped looking at the screen because I was watching the show so I just held down the W key and kept going forward down the road....

I look up and find like 15 lvl 60s each taking a pop shot at me....after I easily get killed. Every single one of them does the apologize emote.

It was just weird seeing all those guys when I wasn't paying attention.

yah, it's like a $15/month subscription which IMO is not really worth it, but WoW is one of the best games I've played before. I'm addicted.

Dueling's a lot of fun, leveling up is long and boring.

Oh man, Link. Wait untill you get to your 40's and 50's, it takes about 6 hours of gameplay to level up.

Nope....I haven't had 10 gold at one time yet. I keep getting 3 or 4 then upgrading my equipment or buying newer skills

Wow, what tradeskills do you have? On my lvl 18 shaman I have about 8g, after I bought my current skills and what not.

If you're having trouble making money, i suggest you take up skinning/mining and sell both items in the AH. It's the best way to make money untill around lvl 40.

Actually I'm doing skinning and leatherworking.

leatherworking is what's killing me because instead of selling the skins....I'm using them to make items.

I just hit the Shimmering Flats. I'll be doing a lot of grinding in this area because right now I have like 5 quests that require me to kill X number of enemies or collect their remains. The enemies also tend to produce heavy leather instead of medium leather.

I just realized what I spend a lot of money on somewhat needlessly.....food for my pet. I know I can pick it up from beasts and stuff, but I constantly find myself out of food and at the butcher. Oh, and 3s for 200 arrows sucks...i go through arrows way too fast.

lol yeah, hunters are way expensive.

hunbter/engineer is best because you make better weapons then you can buy and make your own bullets

I was recently playing guild wars ..... and really wished they made a necromancer for WoW GW Necro rocks! Its like an army of mine versus an army of monsters and the reserected lvl up as you put skill into it

I think im going to remake as a tauren druid.. I havent thought of a name yet (I know im prolly crazy for remaking.. but I made like 3 mages and get tired of nuking (when playing solo)) Im most likely going to specialize in healing talents

I've been playing a Night elf druid on Cenarius, currently lvl 36, I'd like to get him to 60 asap so I can get the end game gear for him, since I love the way druids look end game.

Druid's a damn fun class, sats, but it takes a really really long time to kill things, Druids DPS is the lowest in the whole game probably. But it can be a very rewarding and fun class.

I know I was using it as a figure of speech.. his items can be sold for various amounts of silver until theres nothing left on him to sell.. thus he is traded in for cash in a way.

That's what I meant....i didn't mean it in a literal sense either....

ANyone notice that people are bloody crazy now with PVP? because of the patch? and WTF is with the ranks i waisted 30+ honorable kills and i still don't have a rank?

hmm.. well its not the killls.. its the contribution points.. you said you were mage?.. buff people and debuff enemies.. that gets alot of contribution points

I had like 2000 contribution points.. and like 178 HK's.. I got sergeant rank (as my pally)

Yesterday I hit TM with a big raid group of lvl 60s from my guild. I just kept spamming AoE's on people and the HKs were adding up. I think I had like 72 in a little over an hour.

I can't wait to go home and see what that adds up to in Contrib Points.

I actually only had like 18 HK up until yesterday. I had always avoided PvP because I was trying to get to 40 as fast as i could.

Now i'm at 38 just cruising along. And you're right, ever since 1.4 I feel bad for TM. The Alliance needs to find a better place to pick on. Like The Barrens.

TM is ridiculous as of late. I've been trying to lvl my lvl 26 undead priest, so I'm right around the lvl where I should be going to TM. Not bloody likely, I'll probably never even set food is Hillsbrad with that character. Everytime I log in World Defense is spamming "Tarrne Mill is Under attack". It really does suck, hopefully when battlegrounds is released with the next patch, it will calm things down a bit.

I've NEVER tried to step into Hillsbrad during my 20-30 lvl area. I went straight to Kalimdor and did my leveling in Stonetalon Mountain, Ashenvale, and Thousand Needles. All of those are more Horde friendly than Tarren Mill.

I did some PvP yesterday with my Warlock. I got to 41 this weekend so I have my mount. I only picked up a couple of Honor Kills though because lvl 50+ still resist about 90% of what I throw at them.

Curse of Exhaustion, when it sticks, tends to be really affective against horder who are retreating to TM. The initial attack was crazy, there were like 40+ horde pulling up right to the Griff Master on their mounts while I was standing there making a bolt of wool for someone.

Just scary seeing all that red.

I'm a Warlock...and not to be a complainer...but it's hard as hell!!!!

Melee classes just eat me alive. I can't freeze them or slow them down unless I spec Affliction with like 22 point (Curse of Exhaustion), and I chew up soul shards like mages drink conjured water.


It's a lot of fun, but it's really challenging for PvP. In duels I'm usually too busy trying to cast a fear to ever even get a hit off.

Warlocks are the most complicated and difficult class in the game.

And don't forget, you can have you succubus seduce them, which basically puts them to sleep for 15 seconds.

A good warlock is a huge pain in the ass in pvp or duels.

There's this warlock on the Cenarius server who is a freaking monster. Unlike most locks he's got all stamina gear on, so he has more health then a lot of tanks. He's so hard to kill, it's ridiculous. And seeing as locks can turn their health into mana...whew, he's a monster.

I do try to use my succubus for duels and solo PvPing but when I do bigger raid groups and stuff I use either the Voidwalker to sacrafice him for another 800 hp of damage absorbtion, or if I'm out of shards I use my Imp because he gives a +32 stamina buff to the group.

My problem recently is that I've got all these points in affliction and only 6 points in destruction. When I get home I'm going to re-spec so that I'm almost all destruction and only 5 points on affliction so i can cast corruption instantly.

I went all the way up to level 32 without realizing that I need Stamina and not Spirit on my clothing.

OMG we raided Orgimmir and we attacked and pushed them through the gate like four times lol..... then they called in like 20 undead mages and slaughtered us..... it was a gaint mage battle lol...... ice and fire blasts..... they had a bunch of netrals walk through as and attack from the rear as we were literally trapped in the gate to ogrimmir...... our pallies and warrior couldn't even get five feet from our line without being slaughtered lol...... and the enemy rogues would try to sneak but the ice and fire from locks would reveal them lol..... we held for a good 25 minutes

ohh an yesterday alone i got 50 HK lol

I did a little raiding 2 days ago in Hillsbrad when I got my mount....it was a waste of time. There's only like lvl 60 characters out there and I'm only lvl 41 so I could hardly land a spell let alone kill someone.

Yesterday I went to Arathi to do some raiding. I think I had like 37 HK in a little over an hour. It was better there because there were other lvl 40 horde around to fight.

DUDE I found a Krol Blade on Sunday night!!!! I sold it for 250 gold with payments of 150 gold a week for 2 more weeks! to a guild member Right out of the plague lands

I am also a private and i got 50 HK on sunday also waited a 60 hunter one on one and a rogue 60 trying to sneak up on me and i am 55 hysterical

Not bad, though it sells upwards of 1000g on most servers, but still, that's a lucky find. I've never found an epic in my whole time playing this game, feels like I'm the only one.

yes epics are purple.. although there are chinese farmers on my server dominating most of the good spots.. luckily horde dont like farmers

Yea my main or former main is a 60 undead mage on lightning's blade. it has the ogre magi crown and half magister's armor. mooncloth robes. Goin for the pvp armor though so when i play him i just pvp all week in tarren mill Hilsbrad. he looks pretty badass. went pure fire/arcane. best for solo pvp. As for you satsujin. You're lucky your not on my server. Hillsbrad TM and SS are our current battlegrounds. If you go there you die. no matter what the level. Its where all the 60's just go head to head pushing each side back to town to regroup and push back. No ctf cuz BG isn't out yet but its a warzone and I make lvl 20's alliance's lives living hell in ashenvale. I like to keep them from lvling as much as possible so i like to start ganking when they're young.

on my server Allaince dominates Horde its like 1:1 at first and then turns into 4:1 mid battle the horde fight well on lightbringer though .... on the new server i got a 25 warrior and we crush allaince .... they are horrible pvpers there..... yet they out number us 2:1

Opposite on my server. It's Horde 1 Alliance 10. Literally. For every 1 horde there are 10 alliance. Even though at TM we are a battle of like 10 on 40 or so we still hold them back. Our horde players are so much more finely tuned and independant we take on armies alone and survive because we have to. the alliance on the server are too dependant on one another so we kick the shit out of them for it

yeah i ment 4 allaince for every one horde TM battle usually opens with horde raid on SS and reinforcements on allaince coming in groups until we push them all the way back to TM one time we boxed all the horde in the TM church we fried them with AoE

To me it seems that the horde are far more reliant on eachother they can't even stand alone on my server as a horde i took once 2 allaince 30s (priest + rogue) and nearly killed them both they sucked horrifically

Haha. we have a high population of rogues on the serer as well so theres a lot of sneaking and stuff. The raid usually starts on TM and about 4 of us log on there and just fight them off. Its funny though cuz if we move toward them they move WAY back. They like killing lowbies too much so when we get too close they run like hell. Sometimes we only have to push them to the tower by actually fighting but from there they usualy stop and mount and haul ass.

Anybody besides me think that this game is just TO GOOD? I mean I can't keep my hnads away from it more then 1 day, I just need to play you know

my main is a 60 pally hehe.. and my best friend is a 60 rogue.. we're pretty nasty when we work together..

Uhh satsu A good rogue can rip pally's apart. Crappy damage, one stun, and a shield to heal yourself aint gonna cut it big guy hjate to tell ya. I have both Dal' rends swords and full Legionnare armor. (yes i hit legionnare yesterday) and i hit sinister strike for about 500 crit 700. As soon as that shield is about to go up ill just 5CP rupture you and wakl away and restealth. Not only will you have a little hole ion your health when it comes down but i get to open on you again. yay. With rogue on rogue its usualy just a matter of who opens first. almost always the deciding factor.
