yerssot
I think it's darn time that people get a Trivia-tread here...

First, let's begin with questions about the MOVIES, not the books nor the games just yet.

Now, let me kick it off first:

In "Thunderball", how did the world's governments indicate their
acceptance of Blofeld's demands?

PLEASE WAIT WITH POSTING A NEW QUESTION TILL IT'S CONFIRMED THAT THE OTHER ONE WAS SOLVED CORRECTLY

Evy_O
Jeez yerss who remembers that movie stick out tongue

But I'll take a wild guess... Don't you dare make fun of me stick out tongue
Hmm... the government gave him what he wanted? messed Nah, that's silly, you asked HOW messed

yerssot
I do, since I was planning on seeing the movie three weeks ago...

indeed, I asked HOW smile
what signal or sign or what ever did they gave to let spectre know they agreed?

Storm
Ringing Big Ben seven times at 6 o'clock big grin

yerssot
*jaw drops*
Storm... you never said you were a fan messed

that is correct yes smile

ok... new question:

In Goldeneye; what sort of signal was transmited prior to the explosion Mi6 taped?

Storm
whiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii happy

a distress call?

yerssot
djee, storm, you got me doubting about every movie now ! have to check this one out

Storm
laughing
I guess it' s not correct then.

yerssot
no, there IS a distress call but I was thinking of something else, just double checking smile

yerssot
yup, I was wrong, mixed it up with something else messed

so, storm, ready to fire off a question?

Storm
big grin

Major Boothroyd is better known as who?

yerssot
do you mean in real life?

The Redeemer
Q

Storm
Nope, in the movies.

Storm
TR' s answer is correct.

The Redeemer
Thank you. Who said...

"This is the price of failure, Mr. Bond...!"

...TR...

yerssot
I would guess Blofeld ... but TR, that question would fit better in the Quotes-thread smile

The Redeemer
Apologies. I've just joined and i'm just getting my head around things here. embarrasment Blofeld it is in YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE.

...TR...

yerssot
that's ok, welcome aboard smile

I'll give an easy one:

The Redeemer
OK...let's see...

In THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN what's the name of the oriental girl swimming in Scaramanga's pool without a bathing suit?

...TR..

yerssot
*scratches head*

erm... Chang? messed

The Redeemer
Nope but her name does begin with a C. wink

yerssot

The Redeemer
OK...the answer is Chew Me. How they got away with such obvious sexist names like that, Pussy Galore and Holly Goodhead always makes me smile wryly... evil face

yerssot

The Redeemer

yerssot
What kind of car is the Wet Nellie?

(TR, you shouldn't give your answers that fast stick out tongue)

The Redeemer

yerssot
you and your darn good long shots sad

The Redeemer
It really was a long shot! Never heard of the thing before! But the combination of "wet" and "car" made me think of TSWLM! Happy Dance

Anyway thanks for the craic! Get those questions lined up for tomorrow night...see ya!!! smokin'

...TR...

yerssot

G.P

yerssot
I would just eat them alife though big grin

The Redeemer
Er, shove a pencil into a pressure point behind it's eye or put your hand into it's mouth and pull out it's teeth perhaps??? wink

...TR...

yerssot
yes, when it comes to whine, GP is tha king wink

The Redeemer
Here's one from the same film right after the same sequence ...

...TR...

G.P

yerssot
you knew the question, didn't ya, GP wink

well, on worse news... haven't thought of the question yet messed

The Redeemer
Come on guys and gals!!! Talk about easy!!! It's there in big red letters on the sign... "3mph please". mad

...TR...

yerssot
I wasn't paying attention? messed

G.P
You should't get that angry... messed

The Redeemer
To paraphrase the eponymous Gordon Geeko in Oliver Stone's excellent WALL STREET... "ANGER is good...!!" smokin'

yerssot
well, up to a new question...

In Goldeneye, what did Natalya think the password was? (the one Boris didn't want to tell)

What is Q's Real name in the films and books?

yerssot
I only know that Q is short for Quartermaster
you once talked about a Boothroy... that one perhaps?

Evy_O
That's his last name, yes. But his first name?

yerssot
Quartermaster Boothroy?
erm, Major isn't a first name I guess messed

Evy_O

yerssot
major is a rank in the military and not a name, no?

The Redeemer

And that's a quote for you all. smokin' Goodnight!!!

Evy_O
Soo... since nobody else is posting:
Who were the Other 00 Agents Introduced in the JB movies?

yerssot
006 in goldeneye
and Octopussy had 009

those are the two I instantly think of, probably are more mentioned somewhere...

and actually, ... litterally there were 9 other 00 Agents introduced besides Bond in Thunderball

Evy_O
Introduced, as in not just mentioned
All in all they are 6 I think

yerssot
should check some again, but I'm pretty sure 004 was mentioned too, but it's a pain cause they get a lot of mentioning in the books messed

yerssot
others are free to guess too of course

The Redeemer
What the f**k?

The Redeemer
OK...name Jill Masterson's sister. wink

yerssot
well, there is still a question running messed

The Redeemer
I thought that was just nit picking! stick out tongue rolling on floor laughing

yerssot
no, but I really want to know, cause I have no time to check movies sad

Evy_O
To answer that, cause we're not getting anywhere:
There was 002, 003, 004, 006, 008, and 009.
Don't ask me where and how though messed I was asked that in a trivia game too embarrasment

yerssot
got 6 and 9

and lately I'm thinking 004 was in Octopussy too, but have to check

Evy_O
Ok... then, how about, say, another question?

yerssot

G.P

yerssot
no good luck wink

G.P
glare

....no, I'm j/k...

yerssot

yerssot
008 is in Goldfinger ... well, mentioned

now to find 002 and 3

yerssot
this is the definitive answer, got it from a site:

008: "Goldfinger", 008 would continue the investigation should Bond die, if Bond disobeyes in "The Living Daylights", M was going to recall 008 from a mission in Hong Kong.

In "Thunderball" there is a scene in an MI6 conference room, where every "00" section agent in Europe is apparently present at a briefing. There are nine chairs, which would seem to imply nine "00" agents, and Bond sits in the seventh from the right (presumably in line with his agent number "007"wink.

"The Man With the Golden Gun": "Bill Fairbanks" -"002" - was killed in Beirut by Scaramanga whilst in the arms of a bellydancer.

Pre-credit sequence of "The Living Daylights": another agent - "004" - is murdered, apparently at the hands of a KGB assassin.

"Octopussy": 009: On a mission in East Berlin, the agent is murdered by the circus knife-throwing twins "Mishka" and "Grishka".
"The World Is Not Enough": 009 is the one who shoots a bullet into Renards skull.

003 appears in "A View To A Kill", having been killed in Siberia whilst attempting to smuggle a top secret microchip from a Soviet factory.

And of course in "Goldeneye", we have 006, Alec Trevelyan, the big bad guy.

that's all, question closed big grin

Evy_O
Ahhhh.... too detailed wacko

yerssot
you wanted an answer stick out tongue

Evy_O
if you're trying to imply that one should be answered... I have no idea stick out tongue

yerssot

yerssot

The Redeemer
