speaking of helmets and this may not be appropriate here have you noticed that across the trilogy Darth helmet gets more shiny with each one...Is this a metaphor for life??...

It still strikes me that he has a different helmet when he enters the Rebel space ship at the beginning of ANH than in the rest of the movie and movies.

Actually he had a tinge of forest green when he first appeared in ANH.

When he first appears, his whole outfit looks black with a deep forest/mossy green hue to it. Go watch it.

I think that's due to the mist/smoke and the white background. If the smoke is yellowish (of which I'm not to sure) and there's a white background then the black appears ....."forest green".
