King Burger
Which do you think was the best cartoon based on a comic
book?

I'll try to list what I can think of:

Batman (90's)

Duck Tales (80's-90's)

Fantastic Four (60's)
Fantastic Four (90's)

Hulk (90's)

Justice Friend (80's)
Justice League (00's)

Maxx (90's)

Spider-Man (60's)
Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends (80's)
Spider-Man (90's)

Static (00's)

Super-Man (30's/40's?)
Super-Man (90's)

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (80's)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (00's)

X-Men (90's)
X-Men Evolution (00's)

If there are others I missed, then please add.
(I don't know if He-Man or Transformers were based on
comic books, or vice-versa).

I say Duck Tales (also for nostaligic reasons), then 90's
X-Men, followed by Batman.

There were TAS short series' for:
Captain America
Iron Man
Sub Mariner
Thor

Batman Beyond.

There were various cartoon series' for both superman and batman.

King Burger
I do remember a 60's Captain America cartoon ("When
Captain America throws his shiel, it....something something"wink.

I don't know if Batman Beyond was based on a comic or no.

Mainstream
their was a batman beyond comic...it had like 26 issues.

Jimmy Buggs

You're right. My mistake. Big mistake actually, since that was
a very popular cartoon when I was growing up.

Joker1237
justice Freinds seem to be the 80's

Superfreinds are the 1970's, But I suppose it is all the same.

TheFilmProphet
"Iron Man" (1994)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0115218/

"The Silver Surfer" (1998)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0203268/

"The New Fantastic Four" (1978)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0241100/

"The Incredible Hulk" (1982)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0083430/

"Spider-Man Unlimited" (1999)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0207120/

"Spider-Man" (2003)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0290983/

Anyway my top favorites would have to be X-Men 1990's, Spider-Man 1990's, and Batman 1990's.

Kento
The newest Ninja Turtles cartoon. That's the one I think is best.

THe original kicks ass compared to the crappy new one

King Burger
The original one was more fun.

But technically the new one is more faithful to the
dark, serious look of the Eastman comics (sort of).

Joker1237
They way I saw the first Cartoon was, that the early shows were cool, and close to the comics. But than as time went on, they got off track of the story line. But still the first Cartoon was better.

Jimmy Buggs
never seen the silver surfer cartoon, did i miss anything good?

new ninja turtles are cool , great story . I like how its going now , all four turtles are sent to differnt dimentions.

Actually you did, it was a great cartoon and very faithful to its source comics unfortunately it was cancelled after only 13 episodes and was never reaired.

LLG
My two favorites-1:spider-man 90's 2: X-men 90's

Mainstream
the new turtles kick more A$$..the old tune was goofy...I like it..but I was like 10 when it was hot...what did I know.

vaya_the_elf
Out of those... .. .... .

I would have to go with either batman from the 90's, or x-man from the 90's

For new stuff I would have to go with justice league, or jlu.

BENITO
Its so hard to choose

Mainstream
laser gotta go with JLU

RaventheOnly
no expression do you need to ask? stick out tongue

badsymbiote
I don't know if "He-Man" was based on a comic--I think the comic may have been subsequent. "G.I.Joe" and "Transformers" certainly are both worth mentioning. I also have some of the "Thundercats" comics, but I think the comics were probably based on the show.

I also love "Spidey and his Amazing Friends", "Spidey Unlimited", "X-men" (90's), "Justice League" and "JLU", "Teen Titans", "TMNT" (I appreciate the animation of the new one, but thought the first was funnier), "Super Friends" and another previously unmentioned "The Tick".
