One of the greatest, worst Sci Fi movies of all time in "This Island Earth". Why it gets such a bad wrap, is beyond me. The Metalunans recruit U.S. scientists to help research ways to save their dying planet, when what they're REALLY out to do is conquer Earth! It's classic Sci Fi with monsters, spaceships, a love interest, a hero. Why is it so frowned upon?

It has great special effects, awesome characters in Exeter, Dr. Mitchum, the Metaluna monster, and for some reason, you can't help but feel bad for the Metalunans.

Tough for me to comment on this movie, since I only
saw the "Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie"'s
version. That was funny.

I must also admit it was a bit amusing to see Russell
Johnson (a.k.a. "the Professor" from "Gilligan's Island",
in it. I kept thinking about him lecturing Gilligan about
coconuts and stuff. Unfair I know, but cannot be helped.
