hey,

i have made my own ep 3 trailer using action from the teaser trailer, the official trailer and the dooku duel footage.

it's a wmv file for windows media player and it's only 4.26 MB.
it's 320 x 240 and about 1:27 seconds long.

i edited everything together and put new music, the theme from requiem for a dream on it. very dramatic.

i was making a better one with duel of the fates and the sounds and dialogue from the trailer but i got pissed off and quit.

i'd appreciate it if anyone would like to do a yousendit for me cuz i don't know how long these links last and it took me like a damn hour to get this tiny thing on because of my slow internet speed.

Nicely done... altough am I the only one who thinks the Req for a Dream theme has been overused? It would indeed be nicer with DOTF or something fresh. I don't mind the absence of the dialogue, because it's almost impossible to isolate the single dialogue sentences without annoyingly hearing the original trailer music.

Indeed, I think the timing was very well done, don't get me wrong... just that the song isn't the most original choice, but otherwise I really like it. It would blow me away if I hadn't heard the song a trillion times.

what wasn't so good in your trailer jeditraitor is that you inserted a few pics who just stood still...I would cut that out!

I didn't really like the first 30 seconds of it with the music, it didn't really go with what was being shown, but after the music got faster it was much better and very exciting to watch. Good job.

thanks to all you guys for the comments. i may go back and do my original idea with a lot more footage.

i'm using windows movie maker, does anybody know a way to get the lines louder? that was my problem originally, getting the speech without hearing the music bleed thru.

and are there anymore movie clips you guys have?
did anyone load up the clips of the film from 60 minutes?
i have a few of them. but there are more i don't have. if anyone wants to put those 60 minutes clip together in a wmv file that would rock.

Nice mix, I quite liked it. Although a bit choppier could be good. I liked the speed everything moved at - quick scene changes. T'was good. And I really liked the flash at the end! Good work.

Personally I still prefer star wars music but it was a very good job and it's cool that you knew how to keep the dialogue in it! Again Good JOB!

if this is going to be a trend, perhaps we should make a 'fan trailer edits' thread and merge these with it. just a suggestion

just a bit to...choppy? cant think of the word.
when one scene changes to another it just seems to flash. perhaps a slight fade from one scene to the next or just take out the black frames if thats the problem.

edit: i mean that SOME of the transitions are choppy, not the whole thing.

the merging of the two...remiz and original...could have been better...

try putting in more action clips as well...would be cool...such as the drum part...but without the fade in and fade out...Some clips from teaser as well...I liked the lord vader part in the end as well...nicely done...did u use window movie maker?

the second is a completely different cut w/ different music. it's 6.17 MB, 2:30 seconds and 320 x 240 res.

wow! pretty good, if you polished it up a bit. like the audio in some points, it would be really really good. oh and u should start the music after palpatines little "dark side of the force part" so that you dont have to lower the music volume

It would also run clear through the "Trailer" if you did that as well.

Then you'd have to edit the clips part to get the exciting parts of the song with the good lightsabre fights...Tough job to make a trailer, it is.

Well i suppose is istn't too hard of putting all the trailers together in one file.

Trailer Ep.1 is on TPM bonus disk, and Ep.4/5/6 are on the trilogy bonusdisk.

The problem is they're .vob (dvd) I have a prog which converts dvd to divx. Still is makes 1 gb together though

yea i think it would be dope if someone made a trailer out of all the movies as in one big saga, rather than two trilogies. The only problem, theres too many great scenes that people would want to put in, that it would be a 10 min trailer, lol.
