i was wondering who you improve on the old wolverine the cool wolverine so to improve i need to know his weakness es any ideas

his mind is a big weakness

his a adamsntium is a BIG weakness when it comes to fighting magneto and polaris or any other electromagnetic manipulating mutants

his agressiveness can also be a weakness....

His attack range.
He's susceptible to mental attacks.
He has a huge weakness against magnetic characters.
He's not fire proof: true he can heal even the most horrific burns, but he can't heal if his flesh is completely burned off (Days of Future Past).
He can be drowned.
His joints aren't adamantium so he can be dismembered with a carefully placed blow (see AoA).

Apart from the above listed his main weakness would be...
from a stategic point Vibranium type B (Anti Metal)
For the unenlightened this form of vibranium has been shown to literally shatter adamantium so if one could get this into James's mouth or bloodstream he would literally be ripped apart form the inside out.

Examples of this happening are
1) Alkema's untimly demise at the vibranium arrow of hawkeye
and
2) Avengers #22 where giant man shatters Ultron while pummeleing him with Vibanium.

OMG...I hate when they involve Logan in horrific scenarios like those...Why him?

Think of it ... Metal. He's pumped with metal and metal conducts electricty (weakness) and heat (weakness).

I'm sure he has trouble in water from the weight of the metal. And from what I remember, doesn't he had exceptional psychic shielding to help against that kind of attack?

Yeah, you also can't forget the fact of magnetism as a weakness.

as for killing Wolverine...two main ways come to mind...drowning him and cutting off his head...I mean..what he gonna do grow a new one?

I doubt that cutting off his head would work. I remember in one of the comics he was brought down to just his heart and he somehow regenerated by that. It took forever, but it was done ... At least to the knowledge of my friends and I. We could be *completely* wrong.

His biggest weakness is being lame.

Wolverine is omnipresent. But that would be an advantage but not humanly possible, but then again he's not human. Wolverine is "hard core." Did anyone read the recent uncanny x-men story about The Hellfire Club returning and Wolverine being injected with a crazy potion that meant he couldn't... fix himself. Didn't work though, he's still everywhere

Fix as in heal.

I didn't understand that post so I thought I'd reply with something that could be an answer.

wolverine has no weaknesses, especially when he is in the form of Hugh Jackman who is a totally hot actor.

You mean where Pierce got him with the nannites? That part was kinda cheesy, because the way Pierce described the nannites the first time, they were keyed to disrupt Logan's healing factor so he couldn't heal the damage that they were doing to him.

They looked like they were about to kill Wolverine,but then towards the end Pierce said something like "I wonder who will win, nature--or technology".
The nannites ate Wolverine's eyeballs and were supposed to have been eating his brain as well, but he was fine by books end.

Bah.

Oh yeah: In the Xavier protocols it said that one surefire way to kill Wolverine was to sever his head from his spine, and keep it away from his body for a little while (so he couldn't grow back together).

Wolverine has too many weaknesses but he fights against the odds, against guys who could crumple him up like a newspaper such as Magneto. It's entertaining to see the result, whether he wins or loses.

With regard to mental attacks, Xavier has put in some epic psychic blocks so nah

Actually you guys i have it, the one surefire way to deal with wolverine forever....... open his mouth, pump in liquid adamantium until it fills up and cools. Once cooled it can never be changed back unless by a magno-powered person. He do be dealt with forevors

Or maybe incinerate him till just bones and get Quiksilver, Speedfreek, Northstar and Doc Samson to spread his bones to the 4 corners of the earth and the deepest trenches of the oceans...

Heard from a reliable source, Logan has a crippling weakness for chocolates, especially dark.

Funny that you would uses that example seeing as how both events occured during wheldon astonishing x-men run were he stated he had no idea how to right wolverine and both contradicted many times were there telepathy was not effective espcially in nova cases.

what about when quentin quire did it in new x-men? iirc nova did it too during that run...

True quentin did.

Nova failed twice during new x-men actaully. Out side of astonishing x-men nova track record vs wolverine is quite bad. Actaully out side astonishing x-men telepaths track records are quite bad especially mind controll against wolverine. True there are some exception such as Quintin but thy are few and far between.

Weaknesses- Carbonadium, Magnetic Fields, Muramasa Blade, Antarctic Vibranium, mutants like Wipeout, bad writing, need to breathe, decapitation, cosmic powered opponents, Squirrel Girl, trust/fear of certain individuals and archetypes, telepathy, magic.

alot of what you said not weaknesses. Things that can beat him, does not mean that it a weaknesses of his.

decapitation wont work. Telepathy is certainly not a weakness either.

his bones are a weakness cuz even though its made out of adamantium its been proven it can be broken, by SHIELD and the Hulk

Not adamatium beta. Hulk did that back in the day, it was all supose to be reconnt to secondary adamatium


Hulk has fail to even dent Wolverine adamatium let a lone break it


Also just because something can break does not make it a weakness lol, but Wolverines bones can't break.
