A factory worker has been killed after being sucked into an industrial sausage grinder.

Two of the man's colleagues watched as their workmate was minced in the giant machine.


It is thought the 40-year-old Norwegian man was sucked into the meat machine but it is possible he toppled from his work station above it.

The victim, whose name has yet to be released, died instantly.

Police in Oslo, where the accident happened said: "We don't know what caused the accident, but it's possible that a vacuum built up in the grinder."

Authorities have launched a formal investigation. It is expected to concentrate in particular on the grinder's safety mechanism.

Finally, a death that is front page worthy. Wonder if any body pieces ended up in the sausage shipment. Seriously though, this is one kick ass death, if only more people could die this way.

More like, I don't want half used food in my fridge except for left overs.

When I open a package I cook the whole thing.

I'd stay away from sausages for a few months.
