i know this situation, i've known this girl for 16 of my 19 years, and i know there is probably know chance unless i move the stars themselves, so were just friends, we flirt alot but it doesnt get any further... unfortunately

Um, if you two hook up and then you dump him, it could ruin the friendship forever. If you tell him you just want to be friends, that could also devestate him and he might become bitter. That should make you wonder if he really was a friend or if he has just been trying to get in your pants.

But hey, you are young, you could rock his world if you want, then dump him, he'll get over it.

A couple of years back I had a crush on one of my good male friends... it was a total mess. We don't talk anymore after going into high school, but now I realise it wouldn't have worked anyway.

the whole best friend thing is tricky,i was friends with my sisters best friend for years and we looked at each other like family till one night we were alone at her aunts house and one thing led to another and now she isnt even friends with the family now looking back it wasnt really worth it

well, i knew this girl for some time and didnt think to say i liked her. the thing about this is she already knew. i guess i made it obvious without saying anything. whenever she wanted a shoulder, i was there. friendly advice, i would try to help. may think im a loser too, but i finally grew a pair and told her. she didnt feel the same. i was a big brother to her. i was too nice. we are still close friends. she has moved since and we dont talk much. i wish i had told her sooner. but yanno that brings the "what ifs". the way i look at it, i wouldnt change a thing. eventhough she isnt mine, i wont be bummed. it is better to have had a friend like her for the time i did.

Yea I've had crushes on a couple of my bff's. I got to date them and though the relationships didn't last we're I'm still on speaking terms with all of them except 1.

why is it that sometimes it just doesn't work yall have the most in common so why???

Well I think its kinda hard to stay together with somebody if you JUST have things in common. I have things in common with tons of people (girls included) yet a relationship might not work. Why? Because of all the other reasons normal relationships don't work.
