I'm looking for a country type American movie. It's about a girl who lives with her mother and falls in love with a slightly mentally retarded boy. Her mother doesn't like it and tries to do things to break them apart. I don't remember much about the movie other than in the ending the girl ends up killing her love with a pair of scissors. It's a sad romance drama and I saw it when I was very young and don't remember many details. Thanks for any help.
