i've heard things about fashion 'no-no's', and i have to go to a gathering of my girlfriend's family, and i dont wanna look bad.

a black button down shirt, and navy pants.

I don't think there's anything wrong with that. I agree with Demarthl though; if they don't like you for who you are, then that's too damn bad.

im dealing with her grandparents, the imediate family's fine with me, but the extended wont know me well.
