Well, just noticed that the forum isn't displaying my time correctly...
we jumped to summerhour or whatever the name is and the time is now an hour off here

yerssot
that's better mister!
closing?
Dogbert
Hmm... still is wrong...

I am on Eastern Time (GMT -5:00 hours)
The time now is 5:13 and it says the time is 6:13

yerssot
well, problem is that not everyone follows that hour jump I guess
Raz
Dogbert is right.
The base time should not be moved, which is set to GMT. I think the solution would be to for all those affected to move their clocks forward here: http://www.killermovies.com/forums/member.php?action=editoptions
yerssot
of course, ... we change the settings manual, so it's all settled
Rebel Racer
thanks raz, its all cool now..
badkittykitty

Shoukan
Daylight Saving Time - Begins April 4, 2004...bkk

badkittykitty

So, although my GMT is London, I have to set it one hour forward, as if in Copenhagen or Paris, for it to be correct?
Meh....... I will do as the Master says.........*hypnotic trance*
yerssot
yes, as explained above
Fitch
I have the same bug..Guess I'll put GMT +3...
yerssot
it's not really a bug, just they hadn't thought of it
Raz
Next version of the forum software does this automatically.
For now, everyone needs to do this manually.
BTW, I think this timeshift only affects UK people for now. Not sure when the US DST comes into affect.
yerssot
4th of april, if I'm not mistaken, raz
next version = vB3?
yerssot
raz, all of a sudden my clock jumped....
I hoped vBulletin thought INTERNATIONAL instead of only US
this is the time the yanks change ours and apperently the board is to, so all that changed it can change it yet again now
silver_tears
mines right, and I didnt do anything to it
yerssot
cause you jumped now
Tptmanno1
Why do we have to Jump??
Why can't we leave it the same and let us sleep?!?!
SpikeSpiegel
Yeah I noticed this problem yesterday. I set it to GMT+1 to compensate for the BST and then yesterday it was an hour too fast. I changed it back to GMT and it's right again
Raz
The server follows CST (US Time). The clocks went forward over the weekend.
yerssot
that's what I said

Kes
I have a problem. At the bottom of the posts, where it says All times are GTM + 1 hour the time is correct but in the post it self its 1 hour in advanced

Its really confusing.
yerssot
set your timer back to the original, confirm, and set it to the correct hour again and see if it still does it
Raz
Yeah, I need to change that to BST.
Anyway Kes, follow yerssots instructions.
Kes
I did and it works thanks

Now if you could only change the 12:28 AM to 0:28 it would be ace

yerssot
people should do that more often
Kes
LOL
I just noticed that the times are still off. Sometimes by 1m others by 10m

yerssot
you sure your clock is right?

Kes
I meant both KMC clocks

The post clock and the one that now says All times are BTS (by the way what does that mean? Cos it could explain the problem

)
yerssot
British Summer Time, it's normally the same as the time in Lisbon
Kes
Indeed. So how come there are 4m difference between the 2 clocks?

yerssot
that's something for raz to explain, I guess
Dvae
i'm just typing this out to see the difference for my self

Dvae
sorry if i'm wrong, but at these the 2 clocks we're on about?
yerssot
yup, to my guess, those two...
mine goes perfect
Kes
Yes thats it. I'm guessing its my PC taking a while to show the posts and time passing *shrugs*
yerssot
and what's the time difference between the ones shown on the forum and the one in the lower right corner of your pc?
Kes
A few minutes to. The clock on my PC is always late. I fix it but it always goes back to the same.
SessomaruLover1
My clock keeps resetting itself! And I dont dnow why!

SessomaruLover1
Umm, Kes I think your calender might be wrong keeping the time wrong*blah, blah,blah...* Is it?
yerssot
that's what I would guess

Raz
The KMC clocks are synced daily with the atomic clock at the US National Institute of Standards and Technology.
yerssot
well, there you have your problem, Kes: americans

Kes
No the calender is right. Just a crappy PC
Figures

Lana
It resets to match your computer time. So you'd need to turn that option off on your computer, so it doesn't change itself to Daylight Savings, so then the forum time won't change itself for you.
