His gimmick is dead. Everyone now knows he's insane. What point would a sequel serve? Hell, everyone knew that 5 minutes into the film, anyway.

secret window does not lend itself to a sequel, also it was cr@p, slasher films like F13 are ripe for a franchise. These to films are not really comparable in this sense.
