It was defined by Andre Breton as the finnest kind of humor, as "the superior rebelion from the spirit" (!) The best way to explain is: If you are saying this kind of jokes, the best is that you don`t laugh at all, for better "effect". I love humor noir but like sarcasm is pure BS in the mouth of a fool, and as Breton pointed it ends in irony or a swallow joke. It's kinda obvius but it deals with an a audiency effect.
