Im working on jazzing up raw (blue/greenscreen) footage from the duel. it should be done by the end of april (if i can, sooner) ill give a specific date when im almost finished. here are some pics of my work so far. almost everything in the pics will be changed some how in the finished product. it might be the lightsaber's, background or it might be cut completely. tell me what you think so far:

yep blades are off color

as i said its going to be improved. i mean the arch isnt even on the "ground/lava" and as you said the sabers are going to be improved

so what type of sabers style are you going to make them?? AOTC, ESB??? or ROTJ?

i dont want to sound like an idiot but what do you mean by saber style? the colour?

the color style varies per movie as so does the blade width and glow

the 1st pic i posted has a rough outline of what im going for (the one with obi and ani on the rock) the colour is just going to be clearer and a tad bit darker

i done blue v blue but it's up to you i did a red v blue a while back though i'll see if i can find it

ok the release of this rotoscoping will be: 23rd April 2005. its not too much footage but if someone can post some more raw footage otherthan the ones from webdoc 16 then it will be better (length wise) but the release will still stay the same (TBC)

lol, yeah when he said off colour, he meant the red one should be blue

i thought it might give some originality for it to be red v blue but ive changed it to blue v blue (much easier to animate)

due to production halts and me being sick and revision to do. the duel will be pushed back to saturday. though i have uploaded a clip (unfinished) to give you a teaser of whats to come. plus how do you rip dvds. im trying to get some more raw footage uploaded for rotoscoping. and whats a good editing program that doesnt give crappy quality like in the clip?

what are you using for the sabers? they look pretty good.

After effects 6. if i get a good editing program that doesnt give shit quality then they will look better

mkay...you have inspired me to go back and remake mine.....but...better than what it was..coz ive learnt a few things since then

ive cut some scenes that you have seen on page 1 and changed some around

ive had a look at the few rough cuts of the rotoscoping and im not satisfied with it. im going back and redoing it.

ive decided to release it on saturday to those who are on my PM list. if you are one of the 1st 25 people to pm me with a request for an early "screening", you will get it . others will have to wait till monday to see it. its like HS but without paying money to see it early. its the speed you have to pay

Oh wow, these clips look really great!!

I really like editing video footage, I have edited about four movies that my friends and I have made. (on a Hi-8 camera and using Dazzle Digital video creator 150.)
I wish I could rotoscope but i don't have $600 for Adobe Premiere and $600 for Adobe Photo shop.

ive gone back and refinalised the clip i posted earlier. and lightsaber, i havnt spent a penny on after effects, photoshop or premiere. i just downloaded them. and i will be releasing a special edition 1 day before the movie opens. (many thanks to 12345m for helping me with the special edition) with a few surprises

the pm list has been closed since the release is in 24 hours. me and 12345m, who has kindly lent me a hand on this project, are making the final and finishing touches to this duel. And there is an Special Edition coming out May 18th with more footage and much better effects. the public release will be Monday May 2nd
