Mortanius
Han Solo, Darth Vader, Anakin Skywalker, Padme Amidala, Kit Fisto, Plo Koon, Bail Organa; does he have a full name or is it just 'Palpatine' like the name 'Yoda'?

tpaquin
Um, EMPEROR.

But seriously, I have no idea.

A while ago there was a poll on the OS something like "Does Palpatine have a first name"... hmmm.. did they want to encourage speculation.... cool

Knowone
maybe cheech or chong

laughing out loud
Maybe "Palpatine" is the first name? shifty

Captain REX
If there was a first name, it'd be in the databank on the OS...

...and it's not. He has no first name. Same with Dooku, though I read it somewhere and it started with a J.

DCLXVI
Or maybe Lucas just doesn't care. And those who search for it need to get a life....stick out tongue

it should be Ian, thats actually a good name Ian Palpatine

yes!

but in seriousness there are 2 names that are common among SW fans.

1) is Cos Palpatine, this comes from the original version of palpatines character in Lucas's early scripts, he was named "Cos Dashit" and many Star Wars fan fiction writers have quite incorrectly adopted the name "Cos Palpatine" in their stories and web pages, so much so that it has become fanon.

2) is Dauntis Palpatine (which i like better) is from Supershadow. and this because of SS's 'popularity' has become accepted as well.

but none of this is official in any sense.

DCLXVI
SS needs to be shot....

JediStang
Well, It was Emperor, but during the filming of the PT, he went through a phase and changed it to Senator, and then to Chancellor.

No but in all seriousness, Dauntis sounds pretty cool

To ((The_Anomaly)), maybe it wasn't Cos, but Dashit!

Dashit Palpatine -or- Palpatine Dashit

Middle name? Ooh if it was IS

Dashit Is Palpatine

Palpatine Is Dashit

Im done with this monkey buisiness

It's Vin.

Vin Palpatine.

I'm surprised all of you didn't know.

Mortanius
Well, you know something? If the character Palpatine, the Supreme Chancellor of the entire galaxy, doesn't need any explaining from Lucas then how come he supplied names for characters that get very little screentime like Elian Sleezbagano?

darth_achilles
i thought it was poppy laughing

Mortanius
Oh, wait a minute! He DOES have a first name - Darth! His true full name IS Darth Sidious. Well, question answered.
