Ok, this idea came from the wonderful Mister Rob, who obviously stole it from the Movie Stars forum

Anyway, from now on any kind of thread or poll opened pitting two or more bands against each other will be closed straight away. If you want to get others opinions on who's better than who, do it here.

I saw a list of the hundred "great albums of all times" and Radiohead's OK Computer got number 1. Overall it was a weak list but I thought it was cool that Radiohead got number 1 cause usually they just automatically give it to an older album or band.

NIN are nothing to Tool, they're/he's just really good.

I only asked 'Tool or NIN' because the other day Tpt and I were discussing whether Maynard or Trent were better/more talented.

Dunno about those 2, I've never really heard anything by either.

Yup, debate of the century I say...

Nah. Maynard's the better vocalist/lyricist, and Trent's the better/more versatile musician.

Tool as a collective come up with better music than almost any band ever. Including NIN.

There aren't many better. Maynard can play guitar and piano but he just doesn't. So I'd say Trent is the better player.

Lana, you have heard Trent's solo stuff. NIN is his solo stuff. He makes the albums alone with the exception of the additional guitarist/drummer.

Maynard is a far better vocalist, and a not-so-far better lyricist. Trent is better at everything else.

Oh, and just a little off-topic point here: Maynard has been known to play guitar in Tool and APC concerts on occasion.

I can't decide, all I can say is that I pretty consistently like VR from what I've heard, while Audioslave has a couple great songs and a number of mediocre or bad songs. Cochise has one of my favorite guitar riffs ever... Mostly because it sounds like a Rage song
