I was ripping the newest editions to my CD library and when I got to Metallica's "St. Anger" album, it froze. I tried it 3 times, and followed those times up with another disc, which I ripped without incident. Is it possible that the CD is protected or is it a software issue? I'm using Easy CD-DA 8.1.2, in case anyone else is experiencing the same issues.

i know that some CDs have that "copy-controlled" thing.
it never happened to me, but one of my friends..
her PC is freezing each time she's putting some CD into drive

your computer is possessed by Dave Mustaine, it must be cleansed..

its the only way you can fix the problem im afraid..
