ok, i had to read this little crappy magizine in science today and it was talking about this meteor in arizona. well it hit there, there is a big hole and everything, but where is the rock or what ever?

no idea, I assume it was blown to pieces

This is one of several surviving pieces of the asteroid that hit the ground. The original asteroid was nearly 100 feet across and was composed of mostly iron and nickel. The asteroid disintegrated on impact leaving no sizeable chunks.. only small pieces littered around the desert near Diablo Canyon.

The thing you saw in the first picture, is only one of the parts that they (I don't know who) found in the crash site.
