USH'S STAR WARS GAME- LIGHT SIDE INTERLUDE- The Warlord of Droben

Ushgarak
Welcome to the Light Side Interlude!

This mini-game takes place between Episodes II and III of the Light Side campaign, and hence falls between two storylines. Originally planned as a prequel to Episode III that would have been played inside that thread, it has now been broken off and given its own focus due to a scheduling problem between the Light and Dark Side games. However, this has worked well to good use- ths interlude makes a good starting point for new players, it has caused a re-balancing of Episode III for the Dark Side which will actually result in better polot matching between the two stories, and it makes the planned split of a new Renegade thread time out far better when it comes, instead of coming mid-Episode.

The plot of the game will be described below. It is a one off operation requiring a very strong Jedi team, due to extreme hazard. Although it has relevance to the Light Side plotline, it needs absolutely no prior experience with that plotline to play, the link is rather tenuous (certainly for now), and also it has nothing to do with Episode III at all! It is a neat, self-enclosed interlude. It's action heavy- you will need your sabres more than your mouths; this was probably implicit from it being a massed Jedi operation. It will require team work and good battle co-ordination- this may be daunting to new players; I recommend you follow the lead of the vets, who will be happy to help. You have a Master in charge, so don't feel that you have to take all responsibilities yourself, if you are new.

Due to the non-episodic nature of this game, no Predictive powers are being used, so don't worry about any of that.

Just a note on timing- Episode III takes place two years after Episode II. This game does not have a specific time given, but it is 'close' to Episode III. The only reason I am not saying it is the same time as Episode III is to reduce the feeling that you go home from this mission, when done, and go straight into whatever happens next- there is a chance for xp spending after this game, after all. Thematically speaking, though, this game is generally within an Episode III time period (just to make sure there is no confusion on that- I am talking about MY upcoming Episode III, not the Revenge of the Sith film, which is eight years after that!).

That being the case, do bear in mind that time has passed! Those of you who have played before, it has been two years since the Battle of Arminium. For those of you that do not know, this battle was between a large Jedi force (well, twelve, which is pretty large by Jedi standards) and an entire division of battle droids. The Jedi triumphed, stormed the keep and shut off the Droid control unit. But it was a pyrhric victory, because the man they sought to arrest, who was controlling the army, had shot himself, and so fighting all those droids seemed rather pointless. Indeed, the Council has had a grave fear confirmed- that come mass warfare, the Jedi may be excellent warriors, but they cannot themselves fight wars. Possible solutions are being explored. Those of you badly wounded in that battle are long since recovered; it is not an experience you would care to repeat, however.

For the Jedi, two years more work has not greatly changed your view of things. The Techno Union's arms race continues, and the case against the Trade Federation has gone precisely nowhere. New laws have stopped the vast arms manufacturing for no purpose of the Union, and especially the Federation, so technically the new Union armament systems can't be simply being hoarded... yet their profits don't seem to be diminished. The Galaxy is growing increasingly disorderly- some worlds are even speaking of Seperatist sentiment. A movement is growing, so the rumour says.

For the Renegades, this has been a time of opportunity. Backed by the Taloraanians and other concerned worlds, you have set up a Private Investigation company. You take a lot of altruistic work, looking for missing people that the Republic doesn't care about any more, exposing (and breaking up, if necessary) small criminal syndicates and the like- partly to pay the bills (though you work for free if need be), and partly to give yoursleves a good reputation... and partly because you are good guys, after all. But your ultimate objecive is the big fish- people like the Federation and the Union, who are ruining your Galaxy. Your dream is to covertly gather enough evidence against them to blow out their conspiracy in public view. Unfortunately, although you do not have the restrtictions of the Jedi, you don't have their legal powers either, and progress there has been slow. You have exposed some individual pictures of corruption, even gotten a few convictions, but proving systematic and widespread abuse is currently beyond you until you get a break- that time has come.

New players are either Renegades who have joined with this new company that seeks to right wrongs, or Jedi called up to go on a dangerous mission where many Jedi resources are needed. One returning player, should he decide to stick with things, is Lance, a veteran of the early days of the first Campaign. Lance, it has been four years since your mission to Damagran, where your wounds sustained at the hands of Galder at the top of Faylar's palace took you out the rest of the campaign (oddly enough, four years is close to the real time that has passed also!). The days of chasing Kuylen are long gone- you understand that mission did not exactly end well, though Kuylen never conquered the Galaxy so it cannot have been that bad. You've been called for this misison because... well, they seem to be gathering every comabt capable Jedi not already assigned, and you certainly fit that bill. You don't actually know, in any detail, any of the standard Jedi on this mission, but you remember Xeth, of course, who you have been told will be there.

Ok, let's get this started.

Ushgarak

Ushgarak
Your objective is simple. One of the Warlords of Droben is a wanted Republican criminal.

In fact, most of them probably are, but this one in particular is badly needed, so much so that a warrant has been issued to aggressively pursue his arrest. Aside from the various violent crimes he is wanted for, the Warlord has particular perspective that is wanted.

For the Jedi, it is suspected that the Warlord has inofrmation that MAY reveal some light on the possible involvement of the Sith in the attempt to assassinate the Viceroy.

For the Renegades, it suspected... no, forget that, it is known that he definitely has information that can expose some of the big players in the Conspiracy- enough to build a case, for sure.

You have been sent to Droben; you are to storm the Warlord's Command Centre, and detain the Warlord before evacuating.

Easier said then done- the command centres of the Warlords are heavily defended fortresses. This is why so many Jedi are being called in- this is a highly dangerous operation and as much force as possible is being applied. So keen are they to get information, the entirity of the Renegade investigators have suspended their other cases and thrown in their strength on this mission as well.

You will be pleased to know that there is a plan. In fact, as the game starts, you are already on the surface of Droben, having been infiltrated in. You will approach the command centre on foot; it is far too heavily defended for an aerial approach.

-

The plan is as follows:

1. Bypass the outer defences

A frontal assault would be exceptionally foolish- the centre is designed to withstand armies. Analysis has revealed a weak point in the waste processing area- nowhere near enough to get a decent conventional assault force in, but enough for a Jedi team to gain entrance.

2. Shut down the turbo laser defences

Getting in is one thing. Getting out, once the base is on full alert, will be impossible by conventional means. You MUST escape by air- however, whilst those laser defences are still up, no ship can get close. The lasers must be de-activated from the inside!

3. Seal off the Warlord's escape route

This is important. The Warlord is no fool and he's not going to make a final stand against a whole Jedi assault force should you penetrate his central control room. You must find a control area, hack into the base systems and seal off the route to his escape ship.

Before this part is done, you must refrain from overt uses of Lightsabres and Force powers! Should the Warlord become aware that Jedi are in the base, he will likely flee

4. Storm the Control Room and take the Warlord

This is a full assault on the Warlord's centre of power. This is a weapons-open operation. Remove all opposition by any means necessary. Take the Warlord alive if possible.

5. Escape!

Once the Control Room is secure, send the pre-arranged signal. Padawan Vilpa Adar will then land your escape ship on the auxilliary landing platform. Vast forces will be moving on your position by this point, and it is also likely that they will be trying to restore the anti-air defences. Get the Warlord and your whole team aboard, and escape ASAP! Do not stick around.

-

Analysis is that this base is VERY heavily defended, in three ways. There are automated defences. There are a considerable number of battle-hardened mercenaries. And it is known that the Warlord has purchased robotic military hardware to help defend his command centre.

Furthermore, as well as being a very dangerous target himself, the Warlord's deputy, Marshall Kraken, is also in the base, and he will likely provide you with heavy opposition also.

Ok folks, that is the pitch. Because the Dark Side are not quite synched up yet, there will be a small delay before the intrusion starts- but that's good, it gives people a chance to talk things over, and assign objectives and tactics. Go for it!

And to answer Vlad's question, which I deleted, yes, you are two years older.

Fire
sounds like fun, only problem is marcus doesn't use any weapons except a LightSabre so don't 'expect too much from me for the first three parts combat wise

Kiu Dun
Will I have to save all your arses? You can't be telling me you don't have a blaster.(Pulls out his Madalorian Heavy Blaster) Who's ready for some killing?

Dark Mousy
Yay! Vlad's 27!!

And Kiu Dun, Marcus has a background, I think he killed someone with a blaster and swore not to use any anymore.

I think I'll be doing all the hacking, my Fix It, is 11, the best of all the light siders so far.

Thought too bad no forcepowers or lightsabers... THe cleave I bought would be useless.

Delfedd
Delfedd pulls a vibroblade out (They are stated out right?) "I hope this doesn't take long" he says grimmly.

Kiu Dun
Another question:

Will the Renegades have like a Junior Commander tgo command them or will the Jedi Master just command them all?

Jazzman_78
Well, I guess those combat tricks I picked are going to come in handy after all. Or will that likely be seen as an 'overt use of force powers'? I mean, would the Jedi style of hand to hand combat, which my character has, stand out? Andro hates using a blaster, but he is a pragmatist. If he can't use a lightsaber in a fight, but he can get his hands on a blaster, someone is going to get shot! Niether his Fix-it or Intrusion skills are impressive, so Andro would prefer a more offensive task if we come up with one.

Ushgarak
The Renegades don't have a command structure as such, but as the guy with the most experience, Xeth normally focusses their efforts.

All of which is mostly irrelevant for now, though, because you are all serving under Master Marcus- it is his mission.

Sorry Delf, you are not so armed. Your style selection shows you prefer to be unarmed when without your sabre.

Andro, the Jedi combat style shows training, but it is not in any way 'Jedi identifiable', and even if it was that would be far too subtle for worry. Lightsabres and force powers are rather more obviously blatant!

However, you can't shoot to save your life, so that option is out.

Jazzman_78
Well, I guess I meant that he would try, then, if he had to. He'd much rather use his combat tricks anyhow. BTW, are we discussing this in or out of character?

jaybee3
"Alrighty then."

"Time for some fun." Says Lorn twirling his blade around him acrobatically.

Dark Mousy
Guys calm down...NOt! stick out tongue

Heh... Man I'm" glad I gave Vlad some gun tricks.

I also got some Physical tricks to help me...

"TRIP
Hard Strike
Channel
Surprise Strike"

Jazzman_78
I just reviewed my combat tricks. I've got all six of the martial combat tricks. That should suffice until we have the Warlord's escape route locked down.

I'm new to this game, so I hope I'm not speaking out of turn here, but I think there should be two teams once we get inside. One to deactivate the lasers, one to block the Warlord's escape, hopefully with a minimum of fuss. Once the real fight breaks out, no one wants to be fiddling with switches and dials. Just my thoughts.

Delfedd
So basically i get to act like Bruce Lee for the first part of this episode. Shweet.

Change to what i said.

*Clipping his lightsaber to the back of his utility belt, delfedd suits up in black "spy clothes". He wears his black leather gloves as always, but the new scar on his face marks him from the droideka that brought him down.*

LanİeWindu™
(I'll be here after work and I've had time to finish with my characters attributes)

jaybee3
(Lol i couldn't get any more tricks sad I wanted cleave big grin But hopefully this interlude will give me enough for it. Got a measly 65 kills last episode, let's try and better it big grin)

Kiu Dun
I agree we need to split forces. But our main priorority would be to find a team of cray mofos who would dare to go through trash for the outer defenses t obe disabled.

Delfedd
Ok. I say from here on out we talk in character.

*Delfedd grimly looks at this new jedi.* "And... You are?"

Bespin Bart
(I'll post those in a moment, Lance...)

Where are we currently, Ush? Space?

Xeth walks in on the rest of the team assembled for the mission. His sonic blaster is slung over his back, and he is leaning on a Geonasian pike.

"Hello there, gentlemen," Xeth says, grinning with both mouths as he walks in. He greets Delfedd, Densk, and Lurik warmly as old friends, and welcomes Kiu Dun to the group. "This is Kiu Dun, an old friend of mine from training. He was interested in supporting our PI service, were you not?"

"This should be quite an adventure," Xeth says to the mass of Jedi. He looks among them, quite glad to see all the old familiar faces of the group from two years ago on Arminium. But suddenly, he recognizes another.

"Lance Windu? Son of the Suns, I thought I'd never see you again," Xeth says, moving to greet Lance.

LanİeWindu™
Lance senses an approaching prescense. It feels familiar. He looks over and sees a Geonosian just as he begins to speak, one he would consider an old brother in arms. He bows down, showing his respect.

"Why hello Xeth. I never thought I'd see you again either. I hear you've been keeping busy on some risky missions." Lance says, after returning from his bow.

Bespin Bart
"Risky? Hah!" Xeth chuckles. "Those droids were no match for the Jedi on Damagran, and they weren't a match for the Jedi on Arminium!"

"How's life in the Order been treating you? I see you're still in one piece..."

A little quieter and definitely serious, Xeth asks, "Have you found Galder yet?"

Delfedd
"Lance Windu huh? Related to... say... Mace?

LanİeWindu™
"Ha ha! No my friend, I lost the trail years ago. I've been on the lookout for any signs of him, but I've come up short each time." He replies.

"About the Jedi Order, well," Lance thinks for a moment, "it's been quiet for me. Nothing too exciting."

Fire
(my first post was OOC to be honest, I'll get more active in this thread later on-when I'm back home-)

Lance looks over to the other Jedi, "Why yes, he's my uncle in fact. I hope to one day be on the Council just as he is."

"And your name is?"

Dark Mousy
Vlad approaches "Master Windu I see..." sais Vlad in his normal Nautolian voice. He know had clone armor and a jedi robe.(Like Obi Wan in the Micro Star Wars series!) "He trained me to become a Jedi" he said approvingly."

Bespin Bart
"No sign of him then?" Xeth asks, a little crestfallen. "Shame. I was hoping you'd killed him. I had a run in with him about a year after Zeiton...but...he escaped."

"This is Defledd Maktathee, a good friend of mine," Xeth introduces.

Bespin Bart
(Vlad, don't go overboard; no clone armor! It doens't exist yet! stick out tongue )

LanİeWindu™
"Nice to meet you Defledd, and you too Vlad. It's an honor." Lance then turns his attention back to Xeth.

"Yes, it's a shame really. That man is a damned good swordsman and a cunning weapons specialist. He needs to be brought to justice before he kills more innocent men and women. I'm afraid to say that a normal holding cell will not hold a Dark Jedi of his power. He has to be taken down, with force."

Bespin Bart
"I heartily agree, Lance," Xeth says with a nod. "Though, last I saw of him, he was fulfilling petty mercenary jobs. Not much for such a skilled swordsman."

LanİeWindu™
"You know how men of his stature are, they go to the highest bidder. He must not have many warlords, or evil geniuses to serve at the moment." Lance suggests with a laugh.

Delfedd
"Galder...

A dark jedi, right? Red lightsaber... all decked out right?"

LanİeWindu™
"Ah yes, so you've heard of him?" Lance asks kindly.

Bespin Bart
"Yes, Galder Starkiller, Dark Jedi from the Outer Rim," Xeth says. "Yerssot Rancume suggested that he may have come from Hoth, but why anyone would be born there is insane."

"You may have seen him during our short stint on Naadal, Delfedd," Xeth says grimly.

(It's a background thing for Galder, just go with it... roll eyes (sarcastic) )

(Not Star Wars Episode II, USH's Game Episode II, still 8 years until Star Wars Episode III, so 5 more years before Attack of the Clones)

Bespin Bart
(6 more years to AOTC, 8 to ROTS no expression )

"You may recall, Delfedd, that Galder put an end to Master Azrake Himmel when he traveled with us," Xeth nodded solemnly. "More accurately, some man helped Galder kill him..."

Bespin Bart
(Ush, will those of us with Allies be able to call them in?)

bobcrickett
Jelena Bendu enters, throwing her lekku head-tails over her shoulders, straightening her robes upon entering.

"Hello friends," Jelena greets, taking a seat.

Alkaselzer
Gallagher comes in behind Jelena and seats himself next to her.

"I shouldn't be on this mission," Gallagher whispers to her. "This is a mission for those who can fight without lightsabers. I can't do that!"

bobcrickett
"Hush, Gallagher," Jelena says to him. "You'll be perfectly fine! You're a Jedi, remember."

"Is Zaland accompanying you?"

Alkaselzer
"Yes, um..." Gallagher replies. "He should be around here somewhere...I hope."

LanİeWindu™
Lance sees two more young Jedi he's never met.

"How do you do Jedi Jelena, Jedi Gallagher?"

bobcrickett
Jelena rises from her seat and moves to greet Lance.

"You must be Lance Windu," Jelena says, offering her hand. "I am Jelena Bendu. You must be quite good with a lightsaber, Lance. Perhaps you could teach me some time..." She grins slightly. "Unfortunately, I don't think you'll get to show us your amazing abilities just yet."

Alkaselzer
Gallagher simply nods from his seat, studying the towering Jedi Knight with his pale blue eyes and with his senses. He then turns his gaze to the other Jedi accompanying them.

"You Renegades seem ready for this," he says.

Bespin Bart
"Quite ready, my friend," Xeth says, leaning on his pike.

jaybee3
"Pff Renegades." Says Lorn jokingly as he walks in on the group of them, having their friendly chat. "Lorn Harbringer at your service." He says, bowing gracefully, before tucking into a backflip, drawing his lightsabres, the purple hue illuminating a small area around him. "Yeah, I better put these away if this mission is hush-hush."

Bespin Bart
Xeth raises an eyebrow. "Try not to do that on Droben," he says with a wink.

"Done away with that blue lightsaber I see?"

jaybee3
"Ever Jedi should set himself apart from the next. Your standard blue and green crystals are fairly easy to find, I strove for something exceptional. This time I shall not fall in battle. It took me a while to fully recover from my injuries, but do not worry, my rifle skills are still superb. Sniping shouldn't be a problem." Says Lorn, still furious with his 'personal' failure on his last epic mission.

Nope! Too difficult to intrude them in as well.

Odd that you ask, because they WERE available if you had wanted them for Arminium, which was a really good time to ask! I'll be dealing with that in the post-script, but I am not writing that until the Dark Side episode II is odne as well.

This mission is very self-contained. The general plan is all done for you, but there are no predictive powers, no ships, no mentors, contacts, allies or ties in use... all you have is a hugely powerful Jedi assault force. Not bad.

And indeed, Vlad, you are still considwrably in advance of the development of Clone armour, and it will be a different Galaxy by then.

The missin starts on the ground, because I didn't want to mess around with any exposition here, but before we actually get started, then sure, you can talk on the ship.

Just to clarify, sabre and force use is not banned, but overt and noticeable use of them is.

Tell me if you are ready btw; in the meanwhile, Andro's splitting plan sounds good; there are certainly enough of you, and you will want to be fast and efficient.

Bespin Bart
Xeth taking a Geonasian pike along with him is alright, I hope. If he's not going to be using his saber much, he should like to still do some jabbing.

"I agree with Andro," Xeth says. "Though, who goes where is always the issue. I should like to apprehend the Warlord, however."

Ushgarak
Yup, that's fine, you are melee trained like that, Xeth.

Kiu Dun
Kiu, after listening to the bickering speaks up," Quite sure of yourself, Geonasian. What makes you believe you will capture this notorouis madman?"
He then pulls out his heavy blaster and proceeds to play with it.
(Not that way)

Bespin Bart
"Kiu, he's a common criminal," Xeth says, raising a brow. "A warlord, sure, but we're Jedi. He does not have the Force on his side. Or the Republic."

Delfedd
Delfedd puts his sholder over Kiu's. and whispers "I wouldn't question him. He got... well... mad when the guy we where hunting killed himself."

Bespin Bart
Xeth grins wryly.

"Just a tad."

Alkaselzer
"Shall we get on with it, then?" Gallagher asks. "I should like to assess the situation once we get there. I support the split plan Andro suggested."

Kiu Dun
"But still, what makes you think you will be the one who will catch him? What about Vlad? What about Marcus? What about Master Lance? What makes you so sure your getting him?"

jaybee3
"A tad...?!" Chuckles Lorn as he sees Xeth cring at the mere mention of what happeed. "I take it we'll be entering under the shroud of darkness? If so I'll just go change into something darker, I don't think my white cowl and robes would be that covert."

Lorn exits and reappears a few minutes later, dressed in black and dark grey robes and a black cowl over the top of them. His rifle strapped to his back, and his lightsabers clipped to his belt, either side of him. "I am fully for the split plan, but I am troubled by your anxiety." Says Lorn turning to Kiu.

Bespin Bart
"Oh, who knows who exactly will catch the man, but I still have some questions for him," Xeth explains.

"I'll be ready when Master Marcus has his say," he says, looking to the Jedi Master.

(Lance isn't a Master, Kiu)

Ushgarak
Lance isn't a Master!

Kiu Dun
My bad. Thought he was.

"Well then, let us go on this God forsaken mission! My ass is falling asleep for all this sitting! Let us capture that mofo before he gets away!"

Bespin Bart
I suggest we all don't wear robes! Xeth has discarded his robes for the moment in order to look less like a Jedi. Instead, he's got some snazzy Geonasian leathers on.

Ushgarak
It's not actually an undercover mission (and remember, lots of people wear those robes, not just Jedi), so you don't have to go incognito- mind you, how you dress is always up to you.

jaybee3
"Well if you guys aren't going to talk to me, I'll be in my cabin." Says Lorn angrily, trying to surpress his rage.

Bespin Bart
Um...Lorn? We're on the ground, preparing to start our mission. Not really a time to feel bad because you feel (but weren't) ignored.

Please try to keep up with the character. A Jedi wouldn't get miffed because he was ignored or call someone a mofo, even if they are Renegades. blink

Kiu Dun
"You a little cranky aren't you? And my anxiety is from a rumor I heard from one of my friends....... But you wouldn't want to hear about it. Shall we all get rested for themission ahead of us?"

(If your persuasive enough, you find out what Kiu is so anxious about).

Ushgarak

Bespin Bart
(Do'h!)

(Why would anyone with the Force be anxious about killing evil people? stick out tongue )

I'm set when the others are.

Can we use Force powers with our non-lightsaber weapons?

Ushgarak
Yes, but that could be risky if you roll too high. Like I say, this isn't an extended undercover job, but do be reasonably careful.

jaybee3
"Who needs rest? I'm off to scout out the area." Says Lorn with a pair of electro-binos in his hand. 'I'm not fond of these Renegades, they do not walk the true path of light.'

Bespin Bart
Oh, I was just wondering how deadly Xeth can be with said pike. yes

"We're not resting, Lorn!" Xeth says. "We're are about to go storm that place!"

Ushgarak
The analysts were right about not taking a frontal assault, Lorn. Your binoculars are picking out the defences. You'd need a full armoured division to even think about it.

Fire
"Hmm... I see we have some new friends over here." *Walks over to Lance* "I heard some good things about you from your uncle and other people. High hopes you have there young man, but if you are half the jedi your uncle is you'll make it to the council for sure."

"Kiu Dun... the reason why I do not use a blaster are my own, Vlad did however fill you in correctly, I took an oath never to use a firearm again. And I will hold myself to that oath."

"Lorn keep those sabres hidden until the last possible moment."

"Now you all know what this mission is about, and most of you know me. For those of you who do not know me my name is Marcus, but you people will address me as Master Marcus. Those of you who are excused from this obligation know this fully well. I have served with most of you over the years. Some of you are even friends of old. The one thing I will not stand for is disobedience. On a mission like this you need to follow orders, or people get killed. Do as you are told and you will be fine!"

*Takes Roan and Xeth apart for a moment*

"Xeth, Roan you both know I will depend on you both heavily during this mission. Take these youngsters through it the best way you possibly can and we might have a better out come than on our last get to gether."

Bespin Bart
"No worries, Marcus," Xeth says, feeling privileged. "As long as we don't take the direct approach to this place, all should go smoothly."

"I hope your Padawan can keep his head on his shoulders when he arrives with our escape ship."

Ushgarak
Actually, you rather suspect he will, seeing as he has spent the last two hours going over and over the entry co-ordinates. Worryingly compulsive, that kid.

Fire
"Yea Vilpa's a good lad about those things Xeth, maybe even a bit too good, tends to take a few things a bit too serious, that kid can give himself stress over something very trivial, but he reminds me of myself in that way"

Bespin Bart
"Always good to see a bit of yourself in your Padawan," Xeth says. "Helps you keep a tight Master-Apprentice bond."

Fire
"Yea probably"

jaybee3
"OK oh hallowed Masters what's teh big plan?" Says Lorn his sarcasm evident. "Give me a decent high vantage point, and I won't need to use my sabers, and I can easily eliminate any key 'soft' defences with my rifle."

Fire
*turns to lorn* "We've been over this before Lorn, You know I will not tolerate sarcasm. Not from you or from anyone else by that matter, I figured we had been through enough for this to be clear. I guess I made a mistake huh?"

Kiu Dun
"If you were listening, we will have to go through the waste processing center. It's the only way around the defenses. I suggest we send Xeth, Lance, Master Marcus, and Roan. They are the most experienced in battles and will be the most powerful. After you breach the waste processing center, destroy the power generator. Then the rest of us will go through the front and we will proceed with the rest of the plan."
Kiu looks around the place, hoping to find something else they can get through. He notices a grate by the side of the building." Whoes are best demolitionist?"

Fire
"Go through the front? I think you are seriously underestimating our enemy. No we will all go through the waste processing center, and will split up inside not here."

(Out of character: Kiu don't invent things, if ush didn't mention a grate which he didn't, I think, there is no grate. If I missed ush his comment my bad)

Kiu Dun
(Ain't no grate. And we can only fit some of our Jedi in the waste processor, unless I read wrong. Which I did. I'm not reading well today).
"When will the attack commence?"

Jazzman_78
Andro stood with his fellow Jedi, watching old comrades catch up on old times. He studied his new teammates, several whom he has heard of before, but noone he had never met. He cautiously put in his two credits , and listened as the more experienced Jedi discussed the mission.

LanİeWindu™
"I agree with Master Marcus, splitting up now will only lead to disaster. Let us get through that waste processing plant, find a secure area to discuss what to do from there."

"Let's take this one small step at a time. Caution is our greatest ally for this mission, well second greatest compared to the power of the Force." Lance explained.

As he waits for everyone else to come to a decision he adjusts his Vibro-axe for the umptenth time since joining the team, making sure it is in perfect condition.

After checking his Axe, he moves on to his lightsaber, or to be more specific, his friend Yerssot's lightsaber. He has it hidden slightly to the left and behind him, clipped onto his belt. It's covered by his cloak that he is wearing.

Bespin Bart
"Yes, of course," Xeth says. "I meant split up once we're inside. But, hey, if we just want to Rambo it as a mass, that's fine by me."

Xeth sees the vibro-axe. "That's new."

Dark Mousy
"Too new. I don't trust those things. Either Blasters, or lightsabres..." adds Vlad.

LanİeWindu™
"Yes, I obtained it a few months ago at Bespin when I was doing some minor dispute work. I had a feeling something like this may come in handy one day. I'm not very good with it yet, but this may prove to be a good testing ground." Lance said, as he was showing off the new weapon.

Dark Mousy
Vlad drew his lightsabre with the force pull, and activated. "Wanna test it sunny?"

Bespin Bart
"Fascinating," Xeth says with a nod. "Well, I grabbed this on my last visit...home..." Xeth leaned on the Geonosian pike and tapped it on the ground. "It's been more than five years since I went there, so I try to keep a hold of this thing. They don't want me there."

"Before we go in, I must stress that not all of us are capable with unarmed or blaster combat. Roan, Lorn, Delfedd, Lurik, Densk, Lance, and I are well-to-do unarmed or with a melee weapon...Vlad, Lorn, Lance, Defledd, Lurik, Densk, and I all use blasters."

"Those of you who don't carry a gun or dislike martial arts...try to keep low, m'kay?"

Bespin Bart
(Ush, even if they don't have Combat Tricks, can they still attack unarmed?)

Kiu Dun
"Don't worry, I can hold my own with a blaster." He then pulls out his vibrosword." I believe I will be using this more often though."

Bespin Bart
(Eh...Kiu? Can't have a vibrosword, since you don't have an melee weapon Combat Tricks...you'll do just fine with your fists)

"Well, my apologies, Kiu," Xeth says. "I was unaware you could use a gun."

Dark Mousy
(I don't see any vibroswords in the main rule section.

You know the series of the micro episodes, the newest one. The epissode where the thre jedi have to lead the Viceroy to safety, and the girl, WHo I think was a Zabrak stayed behind to fight General Grievies and his soldiers. The soldiers had these cool stafs with these cool electricity tips.)

(Chancellor, not Viceroy. And those were Grievous' Magna Guards, those weapons weren't invented at the time this game is set. They are weapons that are equal to a lightsaber since a lightsaber can't cut through them. EMP *Electromagnetic Pulse* tips to them. You'll get to see them in use more often in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith rock )

Here ya go:

Weapons

And Bespin,
Sorry about that, I need to lay off the boozes for now. beer

"I accept your apology. Now, let us meditate for our upcoming trial."

Bespin Bart
(And Shaak Ti was a Togruta...man, I have no life... big grin )

(Vlad, if you took Combat Tricks that called for the use of non-lightsaber melee weapons, then you can carry any kind of sword, axe, pike, knife, baseball bat, chop sticks, you like)

(Currently, Lance, Lurik, and I are the only ones good with melee weapons yes )

Kiu Dun
(This is my last reply for a while.)

Kiu went into a trance. He saw his master standing beside what looked like a tall pig with many other pig-like characters around the two. He then saw a peaceful world blow up by a round thing. He dismissed it as being a dream.

Bespin Bart
no expression

(Kiu, try to keep with the situation; if we're about to sneak into a fortress and go Rambo on folks, we ain't gonna sit in trances, especially stuff from the movies, 25 years from now; Ush gives us visions, aight? No need to make them up)

Jazzman_78
Sensing that the mission was about to begin in earnest, Andro Fenris went through what he called his 'mental checklist'.

First, he took a deep breath to relax. Not that he was anxious about the mission, he just liked to clear his mind for better focus. Next, his gear. His lightsaber was at full charge, and secure in its holster. He adjusted the holster's harness further back on his hip, so as not to draw attention to it. His belt pouches were secure, then he bent to check his boot straps. Some people had found this odd, to redo your boot straps just before a mission. Andro felt it would be more out of place in the middle of a battle, so he did it before hand.

Lastly, he focused on the task at hand. Infiltrate the stronghold, disable the air defenses or secure all possible escape routes (He felt sure he wouldn't be doing both, but he was prepared to do whichever the Master assigned him to.), and capture the warlord. He stood.

" Well, I'm ready when you all are. May the Force be with us all."

Bespin Bart
"And with you, Andro."

Dark Mousy
Ergh... So lemme see my combat tricks.

LanİeWindu™
"May the Force be with every Jedi on this mission, and to those who are elsewhere in the galaxy on their own missions." Lance proclaimed.

Dark Mousy
Here's my Combat Tricks

Trip
Hard Strike
Channel
Surprise Strike

Hey! I could use a Vibrosword myself...

Bespin Bart
(You can't, Vlad, go look at the Combat Tricks list in the Main Rules; Path 3 is the stuff you must get to use melee weapons What the f**k? )

Tptmanno1
Ok guys, here's the deal as I saw it,
We are OBJECTIVE oriented (screwed that up last time, damn control room fight)

We can all go through the garbage chute. Then we find a safe place to organize ourselves.
Then the renagades go to disable the defences and the regular Jedi go to lock down the area. then we meet up again and take out whats his name.

Fire
seems like a good idea

jaybee3
Lorn made some final adjustments to his equipment, shifting his sabers further round his belt, so that they were more concealed, nestled safely at the back of his belt. He then adjusts the bracers on his wrists and says: "Fists it is then, I guess my Teras Kasi skills will be able to be used in their purest form."

Fire
Ush I think we're all ready

LanİeWindu™
(Ready)

Ushgarak
Ok folks, I shall kick you off when I am back from work. Just to clarify, the full Jedi team can get in through the waste area, it is a full conventional force that would have issues. And even when the aerial defences are down, the front will still be more or less impregnable.

So, kicking off soon! However, it's a tad more complex than a garbage chute...

Kiu Dun
(I think I'll shut up until called on).

Ushgarak
Ok folks, you are going in!

Moving in on foot, you get down to the base of the rocky area upon which the control centre is built. The waste area that seems to have been identified as the weak pooint is in fact a waste recyling area. Metallic garbage has been sorted into this outside dump, where it is then sucked up in huge vents and placed into hoppers whiuch then begin a journey back into the centre to be re-made into armaments- efficiency is key in the Drobenite wars.

Your way in is inside those hoppers, though the vents are not exactly designed for people to use. You can fit four people in a hopper.

LanİeWindu™
"So...we have to go through those vents, who is going with each other, just incase we get seperated I think we need to have the teams built so we have all the specialties with each group." Lance suggested.

Jazzman_78
"I'm not great with computer systems, but I'm capable in hand-to hand combat. I'll go whichever way Master Marcus wishes me to. We might as well split up into the teams now though, and quickly before we are noticed."

Dark Mousy
"I'm capable with a blaster, and with computer systems greatly" said Vlad.

Delfedd
O.o....

I leave and....

Ok. nothing happened.

Fire
"Ok saying as there are 13 of us in total, and there can only be four in a hopper we're gonna have 1 of 4 and 3 of 3 people. The first group to go is one of four people namely: Xeth, Lance, Vlad and Kiu. Group number two: Delfedd, Gallagher and Andro. Group number three: Lorn, Jelena and Densk. Last group: Roan, Lurik and myself!"

(think that's everyone if I left one out he'll join the last group wiv Roan, Lurik and myself)

Dark Mousy
Vlad grunts. He looks over at Kiu and Lance. "You better not be backstabers" said Vlad. THe only one he knew in this group was Xeth. Vlad started walking toward the hopper.

Kiu Dun
"Lucky for you, I think were loyal."

Kiu draws his blaster and follows Vlad.

LanİeWindu™
Lance readies his Vibro-axe, then looks to Vlad, "Sorry to disappoint you buddy, but I'm Jedi through and through, and Jedi are not backstabbers."

Ushgarak
Well, that works out, as Sunda is keen to stick with Roan.

Ok, the first group are rather aggressively sucked up and deposited into a hopper! This hopper is full of discarded metal. It disappears into the dark, small metallic corridor of the recycling plant, as the next one moves into place above...

LanİeWindu™
Lance takes a quick assessment of their current surroundings.

Kiu Dun
"Can you see anything Lance?" asks Kiu as he looks around also.(Does anyone else have a perception skill of eight?)

LanİeWindu™
(I'm gonna wait for Ush to tell me what I see, I don't wanna go making something up stick out tongue )

Kiu Dun
(If someone's going to see it, it's going to be me. You have a 7, while I have a 8. And I won't make anything up from now on. I promise. sad

Ushgarak
You can see bugger all, but you can sense machinery ahead.

Kiu Dun
(fvck. Don't like the sound of that.

Dark Mousy
Vlad draws his blaster and waits, he'll use "Sense" to see if there is any danger ahead.

~Funnily enough, I think Nautolan's have hands like flippers. How does he hold a blaster?stick out tongue~

Kiu Dun
Kiu steps to the back, looknig behind wondering when the others will come.

Ushgarak
You aren't feeling immediate danger, but you reckon there is going to be more to getting in here than just relaxing for the ride.

And presumably the grip is adapted for you!

LanİeWindu™
Lance keeps his voice barely audible to the others in the group, "This is going to be lots of fun, I've been looking for an excuse to test myself."

Ushgarak
Not pushing this one at 100% speed due to Dark Side delay, so I'll just wait to see if anyone has any particualr plans as they enter; tomorrow- the conveyer belt waste recycling ride of joy!

Dark Mousy
~NAh nah nah nah nah! I'm an athlete and all of you are not...Litteraly~

So, whats with the surroundings, how can we get out?

Ushgarak
Basically it is almost impossible at this point, Vlad, being stuck inside a hopper which itself is inside a metallic tunnel, with no lighting, barely wide enough to fit the hopper.

Dark Mousy
What about cutting throu with sabers? Just for now, since I don't think there are cameras in there.

Ushgarak
Cutting through what?

LanİeWindu™

(We just need to stay where we are, it's leading us to where we need to go. It's not going to be easy)

Dark Mousy
Fine. But it's risky... You do know we can soon be crushed by mollers.

Delfedd
Whatever you do, do not use your sabers!

Kiu Dun
Ya Mousy, if we use our sabers we might scare the Warlord and our whole mission goes down the drain.

"That's the sport of it. This mission is not going to be a cakewalk, be alert and ready for any danger." Lance said.

Kiu Dun
"Ya Lance, we can't risk the Warlord getting away. If i have to sacrifice my life, then so be it."

Ushgarak
It's not as if the Warlord will notice you waving your sabres around down here. Just... where will it get you? Out in the tunnel, just in time to be run over by the hopper behind. Comedic way to go...

Bespin Bart
"Eugh...Vlad..." Xeth says, grinding his teeth at the youthful, gun-jumping Knight. Even he was more composed at that stage in life. "We are not cutting through anything. Be patient. I may be a Renegade, but even I know the value of patience."

Xeth waits until they can find a suitable place to leave the hopper and continue their way in.

I swear, these Knights have gotten a tad over-eager these days, Xeth thinks. I'm the one that's supposed to be ready to kill...

"Everyone ready?"

bobcrickett
Jelena stays between Lorn and Densk in the hopper.

(Can Jedi without Combat Tricks still fight hand-to-hand?)

Alkaselzer
Gallagher is relieved to stay alongside Jedi as combat capable as Delfedd and Andro.

"I hope this goes well for us," Gallagher says. "Not like Arminium."
