i personally thought the makeup on freddy was horrible. this film made it into my Worst Movie Ever collection

MildPossession
I thought New Nightmare was good, one of my favourite additions. My third favourite out of the movies.

Azrael01
Yeah I liked New Nightmare too it was good it portrayed freddy as darker than in the other films except the first one.

Zilverz
the storyline was great .. but freddy looked so stupid with that makeup it just brought the whole film down for me

bbga54
Yeah he did look diffrent but i still think he kind of looked cool. Does anyone know what tv station the nightmare on elm street tv series is on?

Discos
New nightmare was on of the earfliest horro films i've seen.

The actual freddy licked balls, the glove wasnt even a glove. hoses and veins hooked up to his hand - sooo shite.

It got canceled a long time ago.

Evil Dead
1. how did you think it was someone else.........Robert Englund also plays HIMSELF in the film?

2. yeah.......make-up sucked.......I didn't dig the new look.

3. that aside........the script/movie is still better than parts 3-6 which resorted to formulatic cheap novelty deaths to drive the story.

stingray005
New Nightmare was actually the only NOES movie that actually scared me, even though Freddy did look like crap.

MildPossession
I thought he looked okay.

nancy_englund
i really liked the consept. i agree about the make up and glove. they stretched it a little too far. i belevie that in the works now is a new tv series which will feature freddy. i have heard that its a reality series to scare the crap out of ppl. i don't know if it will be good, but i will be watchying.
over

Azrael01
Yeah they are having a reality show supposedly with Robert England not Freddy. It is supposed to be on CBS don't know if there going to do it or not though. it talks about it on his website

I hope that freddy is not dead and they come out with another freddy movie.

MildPossession
Did you see Freddy Vs Jason?

Wendigo
I hated New Nightmare

MildPossession
What did you not like about the movie?

Wendigo
Hard 2 explain man............I loved all the movies but some reason I dont like new nightmare as much.

griefzombie
New nightmare was cool....Yes freddy did look different , they took him away from the cornball routines that manifested themselves in 4,5+6.....
They then made him much darker and in my mind took him back to the ilk of the first film. The whole living in the story thing was a neat twist...Plus the whole slaughtered babysitter on the hospital roof thing reminded me of nancy's gruesome demise!(In nightmare on elm street).

MildPossession
I love that scene with the babysitter, just before that where Freddy sneaks up behind her and only Dylan can see her, music is great in that scene.

griefzombie
Hi Mild Possesion It definitely is one of the coolest scenes in the film! I think the trenchcoat look suited Freddy to! cool

Wolfie
The makeup, the glove, the thicker sweater, I didn't care for. I did think the trenchcoat was a nice touch.

This is the worst of the series, IMO. I felt Freddy was actually lighter in this, not darker.

papabeard
Thought this was good, more intelligent than your average horror film, the postmodern aspect of this film led Wes Craven to make Scream.

stingray005
The hospital scene was so great, considering this time you actually get to see Freddy dragging the babysitter up the walls. That was such a great effect!
