i agree completely

this double standard is grossly blatant in the case of child molestation. when an older woman takes advantage of a young boy, its almost considered a joke.
'what a lucky boy! ha ha' everyone says. even in the most disgusting cases the media will jump in to defend her, bringing up any excuse they can dig up, mostly having to do with her own abuse as a child.

meanwhile, if its a man, they are instantly demonised and no consideration is taken to whether or not they were previously abused. nobody says 'what a lucky girl ha ha', and rightfully so imho. f*** him and let him rot. but why is this exclusive to men while not to women?

because 'black' is another term for ethnicity, and white isnt.
for instance, i'm italian (part), so if i wore a shirt that said 'italian and proud' that would be no problem. i wouldnt have to specify 'italian american' either, just as a black person in america shouldnt have to be 'african american and proud'.

'white and proud' is pretty much the majority shutting out the minority.

i think the issue has little to do with written law and more to do with what is socially acceptable. if his buddy was a woman in a roomful of men, it would be considered a creepy rape scenario, wheras since it was a man in a roomful of women, we tend to picture it as an intro to some hot porn scene.

i think its the kind of double standard that is burned into all of our minds and the only way to see it is to step outside and view it objectively.

just picture a 6'4" burley man sitting on the witness stand crying his eyes out over a harassment case while a 5'4" hot woman sits in the defense seat. "she groped me and i felt helpless and violated"almost seems comical doesnt it?

If noone reports harrasments made by women or men, they are not going to get acted upon. He said in his original post that its a social problem that girls can commit sexual harassment and get away with it on the bases that they are girls.

And this is faulty. They are getting away on the bases that they are not reported, not that they cannot be charged with such actions.

No actually - British Crime survey suggest that 70% of those are not reported. This also includes rape.

My friend then came over, and I played video games and talked about stuff that most women would think is horrible... Relevent to being male.

I then went to see "Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy" instead of some romantic chick flick.....possibly because I'm a male, or possibly because I have good taste in movies, you decide.

I then came home and....played some pin the tale on the one eyed monsters.... obviously because I'm a male.

Anyways, as you can see, many things a person does during the day is in some way or another related to their gender.

Actually I'm talking from personal experience.

I've seen my father hauled off in a police car from defending himself while my mom attacked him with a knife. He was sliced on the arm and stomache while she had little more than a red wrist from having her knife holding hand restrained.

A - retorts with either sarcasm or something to prove them wrong

B - Insults A

A - Retorts with comeback + Insult

B - Threatens to beat A and wants to fight

A - Tries to talk B out of physical violence

Now I can again freely admit I got my ass kicked most of them time , simply because at that point I was a scrawny weakling with no fighting skills and relied upon the disciplinary system to teach these tards a lesson.

BUT

When I crawl out of the fight I'm labeled a 'women beater'.

Do you KNOW how aggravating it is trying to defend yourself against a large crowd who believes your a damn female hating ******* when your just trying to defend yourself ?

It is a serious pain . Though on the bright side I can say this kind of shit tempered me into the 'self proclaimed *******' that I am today.

The fact is that sexual harassment from females is rare and when it does occur it's usually in jest, whereas sexual harassment committed by males is a lot more frequent and serious. I'm sure if those girls knew how much they had hurt your friend they'd apologise immediately.

The system is unfair.. speaking as a woman, many of us have noticed how today's society seems to be a free for all against men; just take a good long look at commercials today on TV. I often cringe at the put downs of guys; take the recent ads for Toyota for example, guy absent-mindedly pushes girl's car door to with his foot, girl smashes guy's radio model aircraft in revenge. Take a good look at ads today, a lot of them are similar. Oh, I know it's meant to be lighthearted comedy, but it does send a message that guy's are there to be trod on, laughed at, put down etc etc... Sometimes I'm ashamed to be female.

4. At a job I had doing temp work, the manager came to me about his son's math problems, I told him I would tutor his son for free, he must have misunderstood my intentions, and rubbed his hand on my back, from the upper back to the lower back, and looked me in the eyes as he did this, I changed the subject and he quickly pulled his hands away and went back to his office, never seen him again, as I was pulled away to another assignment, he was a very handsome man, married handsome man, but he was flirty.

5. In Brooklyn, I had a class mate ask me over to sign or wish him well on his casted leg, and he flashed me his private part.
He had another friend with him and I told him I was going to break the other leg.

I should say that it only happened 2-3 times in my life, and I have seen guys do this to other girls (within the same age group).

I just thought they were tacky and had to verbally threaten two of them, it's not cool, but that's just an example of how some guys do get out of line too. Of course, getting kicked in the balls is a "verbally threatening" way of being left alone.

I think I did laugh at him???, we were in the 4th grade, and his friend called me into the house of the broken legged classmate, he told me that Joe-whatever his name needed prayer, and I remembered him from school and decided to stop by really fast to pray for his leg...for PRAYER...., and the next thing I know, after praying for his leg, he told me he wanted show me something, I was mad , omg, i was sooo glad to move away from that place!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't recall if I laughed at him but I know I threatened his other leg and I was so pissed he believed that I could be that crazy. I told him as a boy it was his job to protect us girls, not flash us.

Yeah, good suggestion, I embarrassed him and never spoke to him again. That's kinda how I deal with things, I tend to avoid people who seem to promote negativity or things that are uncool. But I am generally kind and try to do good but if I am pushed I'll avoid that person who seems to be bent on being too pushy and rude, and if they call me weird, racist or whatever, too bad, once you show you're kind, that should be enough, if they're living in the jungle of their own mind (dog eat dog), then, I need to stay away and they can enjoy living in a cannibalistic world without me around them.
