he was never Thanos' equal, the most powerful he ever was was ALMOST Thanos' equal. The FF take this with or without prep time.

Pre-Crisis Darkseid was suppose to be Galactus' equal.

PC Darkseid would whoop Thanos on Thanos' best day. and normal Darkseid would whoop FF4 as well.
