KMC Forum Rules and the Religion Forum

To whom it may concern:

The Religion Forum should be used for manly debates and responsible argumentation as far as I am concerned. Members must realize that the posting attitude should always stick to the KMC Forum Rules. Aside from these Rules, one moderator Cinemaddiction has emphasized some additional reminders for us to consider while we are here in this Forum.

When we say debate or argumentation, the very first thing concerned is the TOPIC raised by the thread starter. When it is raised or posted, it is presumed that the topic is considerable and is conformable with the forum rules and the general KMC Forum Rules as part of everyone’s responsible way of posting. No one from the KMC members has the right to declare that the thread or the topic is used to attack or bash somebody in the KMC members list EXCEPT the moderators. Bashing, on the other hand, is not generally acknowledged in the KMC Forums.

To remind everyone the definition of “Bashing” as used in the Forums like in this Community, it means that you “particularly attack a member with personal comments and insults”. This will consequently violate the KMC Forum Rules regarding "Courtesy".

For example, when one posts a thread like: “The Bible is nothing but a Fairy Tale book”, posters must discuss things that prove and disprove the claim. The nature of the thread is defamatory and seems to insult everybody who believes in the Bible, but it is not considered as bashing somebody in the KMC members list. The thread is created for the members, believers and nonbelievers alike, to be discussed. Nobody has the right to insult the thread starter because of the topic he posted, otherwise, you will be guilty of bashing a Community member. The best you can do is to REPORT the thread or the poster that’s why a Report button is provided to link us to the moderator. Why not make use of that? A moderator, nevertheless, has the authority to close the thread as soon as he learns that the thread is intolerable. However, when somebody posts a thread entitled: “Mr. Threadstarter is an Insane Idolater”, it is not tolerable for sure. This is what you call “Bashing” – insulting a particular member in the Community.

Everyone knows this. But why am I doing this? It is simply because there are still some members who didn’t evolve yet. There are some who come here to bash people to suit their personal pleasure. There are even some who cannot differentiate which post is bashing and which is not. Religion Forum, like the rest of the Forums in KMC, is also for discussions, argumentations, and debates. The difference is that, it involves Religion, that’s why it is called Religion Forum.

Posts like "DaVinci Code s*cks", and "X-Men is nonsense" are also the same with posts or threads like "Christians go to hell" or "Catholics worship Mary". These posts or topics are created or posted not to personally attack or bash a particular KMC member, but only to discuss things which tag along these topics.

This thread, on the other hand, can be closed by a moderator as an appropriate action if this thread is intolerable. Thank you for reading, anyway.

And correct me if I am wrong.

Respectfully yours,
Jury

You truly are the King of Kings.

Either that or obsessed, I'll go with the latter.

You do realise he wrote it long before you came to KMC correct?

But yes, it stands as a positive guide to the forum.

Even the bit about how debates should be manly. Arrrr.
