Who wins?

Manhunter takes out Namor and probably Hulk in the first second.

Surfer and Strange are still one hell of a team. Could go either way, though.

jla win easily, hal takes out SS, MM takes out hulk, flash takes out namor, and fate takes out strange.

This looks like an extremely difficult matchup...My question is..how much is flash going to do?

Strange vs Fate is a wash
SS vs Hal is a wash

That leaves namor and Hulk vs MM and Flash. Now it all depends on what MM can do with his telepathy.

Bit of a stretch.

Surfer and Hal are evenly matched in power, Surfer has the advantage with speed.

Dr. Fate is not more powerful than Dr. Strange. In fact, it's the opposite.

Flash would be removed quickly by the Silver Surfer.

MM could telepathically defeat Hulk and Namor, but he could also be easily be removed himself by the Silver Surfer.

It would come down to Strange and Surfer vs. Hal and maybe Dr. Fate.

Telepathy. I said possibly because Hulk has resisted telepathy in the past.

Uhhh Fate is not part of the JLA. Anyways....

Strange protects the team from any type of psyionic attack, so MM is gopnna have to fight ol fashioned style.

Wally MAY be able to take out Namor, buy getting him annoyed and hitting him like he did to Grod in Flash #211. But I doubt if that would knock Namor out.

If wally does get hit by either Namor or Hulk, hes out of the fight.

I think thats the key. If Wally gets taken out, Defenders win.

If either Hulk or Namor gets taken out, JLA wins.

i think if flash imparts speed amoung his team...JLA win.....

If anyone's going to say that Strange is more powerful than Fate or vice verca i want definite proof (maybe someone should bring that thread back.)

Strange and Fate stalemate each other till someone from the other team comes to aid.

I didnt even think of the speed stealing MERCILOUS, good point.

Like i said in my first post, it comes doewn to Flash for the JLA, and Namor or Hulk for the Defenders.

But if Flash were to get hit by Namor or Hulk, hes out of the fight. No question about that.

Surfer is allowed to use the power cosmic therefore Flash is allowed to use the speed force.

Flash will steal Surfers speed.

I've searched for a while...no one seems to know exactly what Dr. Fate can do.

Gautam has him in the amalgam tourney. I'm interested to see what he does with him.

That's nice. But your assuming Flash knows to use that attack first and at Surfer. Surfer could be in the air and Flash would be useless.

Flash would only be effective if Strange doesn't have a force up, and Surfer and Namor is on the ground. The only one left is Hulk.


Strange >= Fate
Surfer > Hal
MM would have trouble with Hulk.
Flash might take out Namor, if Namor is on the ground.

Defenders. If MM and Flash won, it'd still be Strange, Surfer, Hal, and Fate. Neither MM nor Flash can do much to help if Surfer remained airborn. The Crimson Bands of Cyttorak would take Flash out.

What would happen if:

Flash took out Dr. Strange in a "nanosecond"
GL took out Namor
MM takes on Surfer(tough call)
Dr. Fate makes quick work of Hulk

Then they can gang up four on one to take Surfer out.

It is a possible scenario.

How does Flash take out Strange in a nanosecond? Strange has autoshield.

What can Hal do to Namor except containment?

Surfer would take out MM. What's MM going to do? Surfer's cosmic blast would put MM on his ass.

Fate makes short work of Hulk? Sort of like how Strange would make short work of Flash.

Well I know that Flash wouldnt get past Strange's shield. He didnt get past GL's, so i assume the same for Strange.

Switching up the matchups may work for teams.

GL could put a bubble around Hulks head knocking him out.

Flash could steal Surfers speed dodging his attacks as well.
Flash could also lend speed to teammates, helping them heal faster as well as move faster.

Strange could hit Flash with a blast of bathalk(sp?), then contain him in bands of cytorak.

This is too tough a battle to call. I cant choose.

Preus took MM down with heatvision. Surfer with his cosmic blast and matter manipulation would stomp MM. Imperiex Probes stomped the JLA, MM included. Going intangible doesn't mean you can't be hurt.

Other than containing Namor, what else can Hal do to him. Namor's a hardcore brick that keeps coming, blasting him ain't going to get you much.
