What kind(s) of music do you listen to and do you play an instrument(s)?

I play the clarinet and listen mostly to classical, occasionally a few bands my friends listen to.

yes, but it was the truth this time...

wow, my music taste is sooo varied. there's nothing more different than silent electronica or acoustic-guitar playing, and black-metal, but I listen to it all!

I play a bit of bass now and then, just mess around with it. I took guitar lessions when I was 12 but really can't play anymore cause I didn't stick with it so I voted no.

I listen to a little bit of new stuff, Creed, Nickelback....

My favorite is Sting and The Police.

Old Rock - Rush, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Old Van Halen
Also hair bands, 80's stuff. Celtic, New Age and Swing.

I listen to rock and rap and r&b and some other stuff.

I don't play anything, but I used to play the organ.

I really want to learn to play a bass guitar or the drums.

You can bullshit your way through playing bass. Just keep your eyes closed and people think you know what you're doing.

I was a side drummer. Not really worth doing without the people I used to do it with...

I mess around with the piano, listen to a lot of different types of music.
Deep Purple is my fav band, not the new stuff they put out but up untill 1976 stuff. Also like Clash, Police, Jethro Thull, Jeff Buckley, Led Zeppelin, Kiss(older stuff) Rainbow, Whitesnake(before the 1987 album stuff) The Who, Marillion(all the stuff with Fish). Glenn Hughes, Phenomena.........and so on

I play a mean set of drums.

My favourite bands are Helloween, Feeder, Papa Roach, P.O.D., Staind and er................. oh, Trevor Rabin's film scores are amazing!

well being a music student I listen to and analys alot of different types of music. I dont reall have a favourite.
to be honest I'm in the habit of analysing music without knowing it force of habit I'm afraid. I have to do that so often I suppose its become an unconsious reflex, just like breathing really.

BTW: I sing and play teh key board. I also compose my own music.

I really, really, really hate people who are narrow minded to music. I have a friend who will only listen to rap and critisies other stuff even though he hasn't heard it.
