what a movie deano u aint just seen it for the 1st time have ya m8 ,well at leat its uncut in the uk now,better than the vampix cut (and still got banned)version ,just got released in aus uncut on dvd ,the old palace explosive release is cut more than the old vampix tape,so i bought the uncut dvd on monday,btw they released cannibal ferox here uncut on moday,bought that aswell ,any1 wanna buy the uncut laser disc thats still in my mums house in the uk?,lmao

ive saw the uncut version...my mate has it on vhs
i think my dvd version is uncut too..cant remember

Fulci's Masterpiece.

This and Zombie are Fulci's best films.

i need to see "new york ripper"... has anyone seen it? is it worth watching?

I saw it a heavy edited vhs copy few years ago. I wish I could find a uncut dvd copy of New York Ripper. Is more of crime/thriller movie with some neat gore. They call them Giallo's.

gore is top notch .. hmm what sticks out ... ahhh i think the ramming the head backwards onto the nail and coming out the eye would have to be one of the nastiest

Well, WD kinda summed up what I was going to say originally. It's more a mystery, with some Fulci gore. Anycrap, the silly factor is in the "killer" taunting his victims via telephone, and in addition to sounding like Donald Duck, he makes actual duck noises. It's a real tension killer. no pun intended.

Also which film has a scene where someone falls down some stairs into the road and a car runs over their head,and the head explodes , i saw it recently and cant remember the name, its maybe old from the 80's

The quintessential eye puncture scene is in Fulci's "Zombie". The infamous splinter in the eye is a legendary gore scene.

still i imagine ya eye gets punctured when a splinter gets prodded into it

the new york ripper eyeball scene aint a puncture like in zombie its the killer slicing a woamns eyeball open while shes awake and tied up,he slices it with a razor then slices her nipple and breast with the same razor,plus theres a real nasty bit involving a broken bottle and a womans crotch!,new york ripper upon its initial submission to the bbfc was rejected classification and given an armoured guard escort out of the uk,little bit of trivia for u guys there

New York Ripper is a complete exploitation movie, i dont really like films like this as seems to be all about violence for the sake of it. No real craft or expertise in creating horror without the use of lurid and graphic violence.

I saw "The Beyond" today, and I have to say I thought it was rubbish. Poor Story and acting and the gore was unsatisfying. Also ridiculous when the guy got electrocuted in the Library, Just really boring. Expected more from what every one was saying

wow that is unfortunate. some of the scenes were so insane .. i couldnt help but laugh from excitement. Sure it wasnt a blockbuster.. but rarely are foreign films.. especially in that timeperiod. Speaking of timeperiod .. i also commended the way the story twists at the end and you see the types of illusions that hell has placed on the minds of the last 2 survivors. fulci is very creative this dvd was very much worth the purchase in my opinion.

not the worst ive seen for that timeperiod, i think it was better than Cannibal Ferox

I think Zombie fLESH eATERS is the best Fulci film I have seen.

Nice effects and atmosphere,and some excellent ideas, , like the unmanned ship floating in the harbour ,the zombies all walking over the bridge, the radio broadcast at the end and of course the shark scene. Could have benefited from more zombie action, but definetly his most acomplished work that i have seen.

Also I think Shaun of the Dead, paid homage to the fat zombie on the boat, with their fat garden zombie , as they look very similar indeed.

I can't believe you didn't like it. good flick. the only thing that gets me is the tarantula scene..............I have to chuckle every time I see the fake tarantulas (that do not move at all.....not articulated) next to the 2 real ones they used for the shot..........
