As this book is about to be made into a movie, I feel it is time to make a thread on the books. Written by Ann Brashares(most likely spelled wrong) this book follows four girls who are off on a summer apart for the first time. Tibby is stuck home, while Bridget is off to Mexico, Tibby in Greece, and Carmen in North Carolina (i think) If you have any comments about the books, post them here. If you dont like the books and could care less than to post stupid things, please dont post them here. I would like to keep the thread open.

I've only read the 1st two books. Is the third one any good?

Yeah.. the girls are being separated again (sorta) carmen recieves some interesting news...lena has something 2 do with chairs and people...tibby goes through a difficult stage and one of her family gets hurt...bridget goes someplace and sees an old friend or 2.

plot:

they're planning their future life, colleges etc.
Lena wants to go to art school but her Dad doesn't want to agree
Tibby has a lot of problems with herself and she's totally lost, plus she started dating Brian
Carmen falls in LOVE with some great guy, and he loves her to
Bee meets Eric



AND there is a happy end of course.

yup...all that stuff...its really good. the third book is the only one i actually own. i borrowed (and defaced) my friend's book for the first two.

I have read the first book and then saw the movie afterwards. Even though the movie didn't stick to the book completely it was still a good movie in its genre. I'll be reading the second book soon. ^_^

they announced recently that they are going to be filming a new movie
it is skipping right to book 4 (it just came out a few months ago) and all four main characters are contracted to come back for it

I couldn't get into the second book, but I'm interested to see that the third book scored higher in the poll than the second. Maybe I should keep trying the series after all!
