Okay, I have been driven to your message board by a movie that has haunted me since I was about 7. Horror flick from the 60s (or earlier, seems like it was black and white). Little girl is orphaned(?) and must live with her mean aunt(?). Her only friend is a pet cat that magically turns into a lion/tiger(?) and kills old lady.

Well, you know I kind of wonder. Except I can see the scenes. That's why its been bugging me. If it is a real movie, I would love to see it. It seems to me it fit into the 60s black and white scifi/horror kind of thing I was seeing then, sort of "Outer Limits". I may need someone pretty old to have any idea what I'm talking about.
