Does anyone know what the trials is like or anything about it?

Tulak Hord
The Jedi trials?

Mist
be more specific....

Wanderer259
There's no knowledge of the trials as far as the movies go.

In the EU, the trials are a personal test for each Jedi Padawan Learner. I think one was sitting in a cave in meditation while withstanding your personal temptation to the Dark Side or something.

Deadlyshot07
Yeah the JEDI trials is what i meant.

Tulak Hord
The Jedi trials test the Padawan's physical and mental capabilities. After they pass, they're considered Knights.

StinkFist462
watch Empire and you can see a trial that Yoda makes Luke do.

forumcrew
clone wars series they briefly touch on it

StinkFist462
very briefly .

Ben-Kenobi
Yes the jedi trails are also mentioned in clone wars.

Ben-Kenobi
Basicly the trials are seperated into 4 parts

Trail Of Skill
Trial Of Flesh
Trial Of Courage
Trail Of Spirit

palpy_666
I wonder what Sith trials are like...

Trial of seeing if you can be real angry and mean
Trial of seeing how greedy you can get
Trial of seeing how wasted you can get
Trial of seeing how much porn you can watch...

Ah.. the good life!

Ben-Kenobi
To explain it more simply in star wars ways its like this in clone wars obi-wan explains the trails anakin went threw during the war so they let him forego the trials much like Luke

Luke's Jedi Trials
- trial of skill when he destroyed the death star.
- trial of flesh when vader sliced off his right hand
- trail of the courage when he went to face vader/ his father for the final time
- trail of spirit even when he was tempted buy the dark lord of the sith sidious, but still refused to turn to the dark side.

And these are lukes trails since EU is not really counted in the movies.

Oswald Kenobi
Oh yeah, you have to construct a working lightsaber too.

chilled monkey
I wonder what the usual versions of these trials involve?

Ben-Kenobi
Nah you only have to make a lightsaber when you become a jedi master, like obi-wan he just recovered his lightsaber from that shaft in episode 1 and used it when he became a jedi knight , but like luke an anakin they had to make new ones when they became jedi knights. and most padawans had to make news 1 2 cause they were either lost or destroyed during the clone wars

Boris
Padawan or Knight trials?

actually obi-wan didn't recover his sabre from Naboo. he buiilt a new one between 1 and 2. its the same design but it is a bit longer and thinner.

for the matter of the trials... i suggest reading Clone Wars: Jedi Trial

Imperial Gaurds also have to face trials before they are selected , they each face each other in a number of grueling events until two remain . This two then face Vader and the survivor gets to be Supreme Gaurd (saw this in a comic called Crimson Empire .... bloody spectacular it was too....).
