There are the obvious ones like Vader saying he wants to look on his son with his own eyes in ROTJ and Luke saying to Obi Wan in ROTJ "there is still good in him" repeating his mothers dying words. What have you guys got?

Vader (ESB): "Join me... and we'll rule the galaxy as Father and Son."

Most of Episode IV now has completely changed in my eyes.

A lot of what Obi-Wan says, and the scenes with Luke's Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru also appear in new light.

The whole Emperor dissolving the Senate deal, mentioned quickly in Episode IV, now has a huge impact and has become a huge line of the series.

Chewie and Obi-Wan meeting up in the Cantina also gets me thinking a lot as to why Chewie would want to help out a Jedi, I never really thought about it until I saw Episode IV after seeing Episode III.

Anakin chopping off Luke's hand, much like Dooku chopped off his, and casting away his old lightsaber into darkness below. Was just an action scene before, now it has a lot of poetic meaning to it.

Seeing Alderaan blow up after getting to know Bail and seeing Leia's adoptive mother makes it actually tragic, something I never really cared about until I saw it in Episode III.

Best of all, seeing Luke make all the classic mistakes his father did, but ultimately managed to hold it together and stay on the lightside. It was impressive before, but now after Episode III, Luke is the man.

Obi Wans description of the lightsaber being civilised after using a blaster to finish off Grievous and saying "how uncivilised".

I always think it's because droids were a weapon of "terrorists" During the Clone Wars, and that's why people hate them in ANH time.

Good one. Also i think Vader sees a chance to save a part of Padme when the Emperor is frying Luke in ROTJ, that may have given him the motivation to kill his master.

Why wouldn't Chewie want to help a Jedi? He knows Yoda didn't order the Clones against the Wookies...

In fact, this is something I don't get...

Why did Chewie and Tarfull not tell the Senate what really happened? That the Jedi didn't turn against the Republic? We see the people of Utapau in cuffs being captured by the Clones, why did everyone just believe Palpatine when he said the Jedi were trying to take over? When many people knew that wasn't the case? Or did the Clones kill everyone who knew the truth?

Am I missing something?

I personally dont think Palpatine would have plotted such a master plan only to have a couple of Wookies spoil it for him. As for the other nay sayers, i guess they started the rebellion.

didn't leia call ben "general kenobi" in her message from r2? always wondered about that. now i know and can sleep soundly.

Knowing the Emperor probably had a lightsaber tucked under his sleeve at the end of ROTJ.

When Leia says she remembers her REAL mother was "very beautiful, kind, but sad".

Now it makes no sense

"Hey, we no droids!". While Anakin and padme ar going out... eh, While he is escorting her to her home planet.

My post gave the wrong impression, sorry about that. I meant it now makes sense that Cheiwe hooks Obi-Wan up with Han because he knows the Jedi are the good guys.

I didn't mean I was confused, I meant to say it makes me wonder what Obi-Wan and Chewie actually said. Before Episode III, I just always thought they struck a deal, but after Episode III, I always get the feeling Chewie feels obliged to help out a Jedi because Yoda befriended him.

No way did Lucas plan that. It's just a nice little detail that fits nicely.

It does change that initial meetup a lot though.

Although, I am now concerned about what Chewie says about Obi-Wan:

Chewie: "Growowowowl!"

Han: "You said it Chewie, where did you dig up that old fossil?"

That certainly says to me that Chewie said something insulting about Obi-Wan.

Now if he's a friend of the Jedi - why would he say that?

I smell a plot hole, but it's merely a divet.

"I can't help but feel there's something familiar about this place."--Luke on Dagobah. It was never clarified why he said this.

Padme's death in childbirth. Obviously Leia never knew she was adopted judging by what she said in ROTJ.

"There's something familiar about this place." doesn't need to be clarified... he then says "Like something out of a dream or..." He probably had a vision of it in a dream...

I think it's clear Leia knew she was adopted. Luke says specifically "Do you remember your mother? ... Your REAL mother?". She'd have said something if she didn't know. It a plot hole. What's the bet in the next DVD release Lucas has removed that line "... your real mother?" and made that scene completely pointless?

We dont know that Luke didnt see Dagobah when they dropped Yoda off before Obi Wan took him to Tatooine, it would certainly save petrol if they did a round trip.

It seems much more beautiful now to watch the rise and fall of Anakin (or perhaps the life, death, and rebirth of anakin)

Also, I feel much more submerged in the history and this makes the story seem almost personal to me now.

it has caused me to see an already beautiful story in an even more beautiful in-depth light
